"You realize, of course, that nothing we do will be able to keep out You-Know-Who indefinitely." Flitwick tells the other professors.
"That doesn't mean we can't hold him up." Sprout argues.
"That doesn't mean we can't hold him up. And his name is Voldemort, Filius. You might as well use it. He's going to try to kill you either way." McGonagall chimes in.
"Piertotum Locomotor!" McGonagall casts and statues come into view. "Hogwarts is threatened! Man the boundaries and protect us! Do your duty to our school!" She commands.
"I've always wanted to use that spell." McGonagall sighs happily.
As the teachers set spells to protect the castle, Neville, Seamus and Carson are working on the bridge. Ron, Hermione and Harry were working on horcruxes.
"Harry, Hermione and I have been thinking. It doesn't really matter if we find the Horcrux." Ron chimes in.
"What're you saying?"
"Unless we can destroy it." Hermione answers.
"So we were thinking..."
"It's brilliant really, You destroyed Tom Riddle's Diary with a Basilisk fang, right? Well, we know where we might find one, don't we?" Hermione asks.
"Okay. But take this. That way you can find me when you get back. And monitor Carson. He's with Neville and Seamus taking down the bridge." Harry tells them, handing them the map as Hermione glances in the bridge's direction, clearly worried for him.
"Where are you going?"
"Ravenclaw Common Room. Got to start somewhere."
"You know what you're doing don't you Seamus?" Neville asks. Seamus winks and gives him and Carson a thumbs up.
"Blimey..."
They glance at Ginny, who raises her hand to wave, and then goes still. The two turn around to see what she's looking at and grow nervous.
"Not good." The two say as they look at each other wide eyed.
The sea of snatchers close in on the bridge, as Neville and Carson look on in terror. Rockets take off and blue sparks emerge, and death eaters and snatchers run into Flitwick's shields.
"Ha! Ha!" They both cheer.
"Yeah! You and whose army!" Neville taunts them. He whips his arm up happily, sending a spark in the sky.
"Woah! Easy up there!" Seamus tells him.
The shields start to break as time goes on, and the two look over at Ginny.
"Not good Neville....Not good at all." Carson whispers, seeing the death eaters come closer.
"Ready?!" Ginny shouts out.
"Yeah! Now or never am I right?!" Coming from Carson.
"Are you bloody joking?!" From Neville.
"This is it Neville. True Gryffindor bravery right here. We got this."
Ginny raises her wand, ready to detonate the spells, as Seamus comes up next to her. The explosions start, and as the snatchers chase them, the two run as fast as they can, avoiding the explosions on the bridge.
"If we die, tell Hermione I love her and Steven!" Carson shouts to Ginny, fear in his voice as he runs as fast as he possibly can.
The snatches fall from the bridge, as Carson and Neville keep running, wheezing painfully at this point, and only running faster when they see the bridge exploding more and more, having a harder time keeping up with the path.
"They're good..." Seamus tells Ginny, "They're good.."
And as he said that, the wood from their feet fell, and the two went out of sight. Ginny's hands flew up to her mouth, as Seamus looked despondent.
Charred fingernails appear, and the two pull themselves up.
"Well done Seamus!" Carson says sarcastically, as Ginny helps him up, Seamus helping Neville.
"Told yeh I'd bring 'er down."
"What?" Ginny asks, seeing Carson's look.
"That was kind of exciting, like I'm some sort of hero saving the day."
"You're mental."
"Are those giants?" Neville asks, seeing tall figures come into view.
"Woah...Cool. This is it guys."
