The next day, the Weasley's, plus Harry, Hermione, and Carson, went to St. Mungos to visit Mr. Weasley. When they arrived, Harry, and all the Weasley children went in first. Hermione, Tonks, Moody, and Carson waited outside. They sat down on some chairs nearby, and Hermione was resting her head on Carson's shoulder.
"Are you okay?" Hermione whispered to Carson.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Nobody is talking about this, just Harry's dream, but you felt the pain didn't you?"
"Yeah. But I'm fine now. Dumbledore knows anyway. Everything will be fine. It's Dumbledore. Just a little shaken up is all."
"Okay. You can talk to me though. I love you."
"Love you too 'Mione."
All the Weasley children stepped out of the room, and Tonks and Moody went inside. They didn't close the door all the way, so Hermione, Ron, Carson, and Harry went over to the door to listen in.
"We searched the whole floor Arthur, but we couldn't find that snake. Why a snake anyway?"
"He probably sent it as a lookout. See what he's up against. That's the closest he's ever gotten to it. So Potter says he saw the whole thing?"
"Yes. You know, Dumbledore seems like he's been waiting for something like this to happen. When I spoke to him he seemed very worried about Harry. Carson, not so much, he says he felt the pain but Dumbledore doesn't seem to care or worry about that."
"He should be worried. I mean if you-know-who is really possessing him..."
Harry looked at all the others in fear. Carson returned his look, and Hermione looked a bit worse. They looked at each other in silence before someone broke them out of it.
"Hullo."
"Professor Lockhart?"
"Professor? Me? Did I really? Well, I expect I was hopeless at it!"
"You were."
"Carson! Don't say that!"
"Sorry 'Mione."
"Now, I'll expect all of you will be wanting my autograph?"
"Uh, sure."
Then, a healer came over to the professor. "Ah, Gilderoy. So this is where you ran off to? He keeps wandering off, handing out autographs, don't you know? It's a good sign toward recovering his memory, the poor dear."
"Yeah sorry about that mate."
"Do I know you?"
"Yeah. It was my wand that backfired on you."
"What a coincidence!"
They followed Professor Lockhart into a room, and saw Neville and his grandmother. Carson knew about Neville's parents. He had met Neville's grandmother and he had been to Neville's house when he was a kid. His parents and Neville's grandmother used to set up playdates for the two boys.
"Hello Mrs. Longbottom. How are you?" Carson asked, as Neville turned beet red at seeing everyone here.
"Hello Carson dear, it's wonderful to see you again. Are the rest of them friends of yours Neville?"
"Uh, yeah."
"Who are you visiting Neville?" Ron asked, as Neville's grandmother turned to him.
"You haven't told them?"
"Told us what?"
"Neville's dear parents were tortured to insanity by you-know-who before he disappeared. Arurors, you know, they were very well respected."
Just then, Neville's mother came over and slipped Neville a wrapper. Neville put in his pocket like it was his most treasured possession in the world. The two left, leaving the four.
"I never knew...poor Neville."
