This summer was a good, yet bad summer for Carson. He had spent it with Hermione, which was amazing. But, halfway through the summer, they moved to 12 Grimmauld place. Carson had also been having nightmares, but he was taking the dreamless sleep potion mostly every night. The nights he didn't, were when they were bad.
Other than that, Carson and Hermione had spent the summer together, and she got to know his parents. Steven and Mary absolutely adored Hermione, and they told her many things about the wizarding world and about how day to day life goes outside of school with magic. She had learned many new spells, mostly the ones that help cook and clean, since that's all people really did at 12 Grimmauld place.
It was the order of the phoenix's safehouse, but it was very dirty and hadn't been used in years. The order of the phoenix is the group that went against Voldemort, started by Dumbledore. Carson's parents had always been apart of it, since the first wizarding war. They were in the group with, the Longbottom's, the Potters, Sirius, Remus, and a few others.
This particular day, things hadn't been going well. People didn't feel like cleaning the house, and Mrs. Weasley had enough of it. She yelled at the Weasley boys, causing Hermione to wake up. Carson had been up for hours, his nightmares keeping him up. This nightmare was back in first year, when Quirrell tortured him, except the pain was worse.
To add on to all of the stress built up, everyone had gotten word that Harry was expelled from Hogwarts for doing magic in front of a muggle. Luckily, Dumbledore had convinced the ministry to just give him a trial instead.
Harry was due to arrive later tonight, and he would probably be livid nobody had told him about it. Dumbledore had forbidden the three to write to him, as well as Sirius. Carson hadn't listened to this rule and instead wrote Harry saying something was going on and Dumbledore didn't want Harry to know. Carson also explained how Dumbledore was forbidding the to write to him, and that Hermione and Ron were most likely going to listen to him.
Harry was thankful to receive Carson's letter, and sent a reply saying thank you and how Dumbledore will probably tell him about it later this summer.
Right before dinner, Harry had arrived. He was ushered upstairs by Mrs. Weasley right away, as the other adults were in an order meeting. Once he entered the room, Hermione captured him in a hug.
"Now I know why you like Hermione hugs so much Carson." Harry muttered, still in Hermione's grip.
"Well don't expect too many more. She's mine." Carson told the green-eyed boy, Hermione back by her boyfriend. Ron looked at the couple in a look of anger and disgust, neither of them had noticed.
"Oh Harry! We missed you! Are you furious with us, I bet you are!" She rambled and Carson tried to get her to stop worrying.
"Hermione! Calm down, let him talk." Carson soothed, as Harry looked at Hermione and Ron with an angry look.
"Sorry we haven't written Harry. Dumbledore made us promise not to." Hermione explained, her head on Carson's shoulder.
"We wanted to mate. We really did but the thought they would get intercepted."
"Since when do you even write to people? I've been your friend my whole life and never received more than one letter."
"Not now Marshall. Dumbledore thought you'd be safest there Harry."
"Right. Real safe. Attacked by Dementors safe. That's safe, that is." Harry states, sarcasm clear in his tone.
"He was so mad...it was kind of scary. He's only been here twice. He's really busy I guess. That's why I wrote. I figured he would keep you in the dark, he tried to do that with me as well. Mum and dad were not having it since they're order members."
"So I get to spend the summer with the Dursley's while you guys are here."
"It's not that fun mate, mum wont let any of us near the meetings. Not even Fred and George and they've tried."
"You've still been here! I was stuck completely in the dark with one letter from Carson! And you all were here with all this information none of you bothered to tell me! All I knew was Dumbledore was doing something, but I suppose Carson didn't know anything else! At least he bothered to tell me what was going on, even if he didn't know all of it!" Harry shouted, Hermione and Ron were taken aback by his behavior.
"So...what has been going on." Harry asked, more friendly this time.
"Some of the order are following known death eaters, like Lucius Malfoy. And they're guarding something." Hermione informed, with an apprehensive tone.
"What's this order everyone's talking about? Carson never mentioned it."
"I didn't know what was happening with it when I wrote the letter, sorry Harry. Dumbledore started it last time to fight Voldemort. He only reorganized it after last term. After the whole...graveyard." Carson explained, trailing off at the end.
Suddenly, the door opened, and Mrs. Weasley popped in. "You can come down now, the meetings over."
