Brooke's POV
I woke with a smile immediately, remembering Dal and I'd conversation last night. I can finally see Skye again!

I jumped out of bed as I slipped on a pair of blue jeans, Amy leather jacket, and quickly knotted through my hair with a comb. I slipped on my converse before heading out.

Right as I was coming out of my room, Dal was doing the same. It was awkward for a moment. "Don't make me regret this, Brooke" he raised a brow. I smiled and nodded.

"Thanks, Dal" I side hug him as he patted my back.

"Come on, we'll get something for breakfast at the Curtis'" he says as he jogs down the stairs, me following behind.

"Here ya go, Buck" he muttered as he handed him a 50$ bill, for rent I'm guessing. "Thanks pal" Buck replied.

Dal and I drove to the Curtis house. I'm pretty sure this was Buck's car, but I didn't care at the moment to ask. I couldn't wait to see the look on Skye's face. I looked towards Dal in the drivers seat.

"Dal..sorry bout last night" I said quietly but loud enough for him to hear me.

"It's cool. We both said things" he lit a smoke, a habit of his. I nodded.

When we made it to the Curtis house as I hoped out of the car and jogged up the steps. I walked through the front door and saw Skye on the couch as she looked through a magazine.

"Hi Steve....Steve?" She looked up and immediately smiled when she saw me. "Brooke!?" She exclaimed as she nearly tackled me. We both laughed as we embraced each other.

"Does this mean?.." She trailed off "We get to hang out again!" I squealed.

Dal said the same thing he had said to me early, "don't make me regret this Mathews." He said sternly to Skye.

"Careful Dal, people may start to think you actually care about someone other then yourself" she replied. I chuckled a little.

"Wise ass" was all he muttered as he went into the kitchen.

Skye and I sat on the couch as we continued laughing at nothing.

"Uhh, the one day I get work off, and you guys are being loud. What's going on?" Soda came out of his room. When he saw me, he basically leaped over Darry's armchair as he pulled me into a tight hug.

"I missed ya kid! Boy, is Pony ever gon' be happy to see ya" he said. He then turned to Skye. "Steve will be happy to see that smile again" he added to Skye.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" She asked with a glare before heading into the kitchen.

Soda shot me a sarcastic grin "she's so oblivious" he shook his head. "Right!?" I agreed. "I'll get er' to come around" I smirked.

Soda ruffed my hair "it's good to see ya, Brooke" he said.

"It's good to be back" I agreed.

The next day~
Skye and I walked down the halls together at school. I'm glad everything was back to normal. The only thing that wasn't, was the way Steve was acting. I'd get it out of him though.

Skye and I were heading outside to the bleachers, where we'd meet Steve, Pony, Johnny, and Twobit for lunch.

"I gotta go piss before we head out. Go ahead, I'll meet ya out there" Skye said as she turned towards the girls room. I nodded as I continued walking.

When I made it to the bleachers, I sat beside Pony as he kissed me cheek. We got 'ouuu's from the rest of the boys.

"You got any homework from Mrs. Johnston?" Pony asked as I took out my sandwich from my bag.

"Yea, sadly" I sigh before taking a bite of my pb&j. "Well, come over later and I'll help you" Pony smiled.

"Okay" I replied. I then looked towards Steve.

"So..Steve...is the rumour true?" I chuckle. He looks at me weird.

"What rumour?" He asks.

"That you have a thing for Skye" I say plainly. A habit both Dal and I have, always just getting straight to the point.

He shifted uncomfortably as Twobit send him the most dangerous glare I've seen from him. Twobit looked like he was daring Steve to say 'yes'.

"No, Brooke. I ain't true" Steve tired to play it off tuff.

I shook my head "whatever you say, Randle"
