"Tyler," Josh says hesitantly, "Can you come with me?"
"Why?"
He isn't trying to offend his fren; he really doesn't understand what use he might be-to anyone.
"Because...well, for one," Josh says, "I trust you."
That makes him feel the tiniest bit better.
"For the record," another familiar voice says, "I do too."
That makes him smile.
Josh looks like he's about to say something else, but he doesn't. Not yet.
Jenna places her hand on Tyler's shoulder and he's glad she's there.
It makes him feel, well, comforted.
"Yes, well," Josh says, "There's something else. I hate to even ask this, but-"
Tyler swallows, his unease growing.
"But what, Josh? But what?"
Josh hugs his fren, trying to comfort him in whatever way possible.
He does that a lot, Tyler realizes.
And Tyler loves him for that, loves him for trying so hard to give him peace.
It doesn't solve it all.
But this time it makes the news Josh tells him somewhat easier to bear.
"I need you-" Josh swallows, "I need you to tell me what happened there. Everything you can. It's-it's important."
Tyler hugs his fren tighter.
"I can't."
