His movements are almost robotic as he goes through the motions, the routine of this illusion of life without really feeling alive at all.
He's sure there was once more to life than this, but he can't remember any of it.
So. He does what no one ever told him to do. But what he learned from observing. His mouth goes dry. From punishment.
He falls in line with the others once more as they go about the work.
None of it is physically very challenging.
But mentally...
His mind can't help but wander.
And in this place, in Dema, most pathways his mind goes down are dark ones.
He thinks of something, right then and there.
"You're facin' down a dark hall, I'll grab my light and go with you"
He pauses.
Just for a moment.
But that's long enough.
This is wonderful, Tyler thinks. Just wonderful.
Because then the bishop is here and his fear overwhelms him again.
Which bishop???? Anyone want to take a guess? Hint: it's not Clancy. I really hope you knew he wasn't a bishop, for some reason I know someone who is convinced he is...yeah, idk.
