No one even stops what they're doing, Tyler notices bitterly as he walks.

They don't seem to notice-or care-that one of the nine has just appeared in their midst and dragged of one of them.

They simply contine whatever they were doing. Like machines, not people.

But can he blame them? Can he honestly and truly blame them? They know as well as he does what the consequences are for doing anything contrary to the bishops' teachings.

Apathy really would be the best course of action if he were one of them.

Instead of being the one led to certain doom.

He shakes his head, angry at his own thoughts.

Stop, he tries to tell his brain. Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

But he can't help but wonder what he might have done this time. Actually, he can think of one thing. There's no way...he swallows.

There is a way.

It's unlikely, but its..it's still possible.

Tyler swallows.

Whatever lies ahead, though, it can't be any worse than anything else he's been through.

But he's wrong. It is.

Oh no!! What could possibly be worse? Any ideas?
