This is strange, so very strange.

Has he really grown used to hiding his face, hiding who he was, that now he no longer knows how to openly be this person that he is?

Yes.

He has.

The yellow was supposed to be a form of protection.

It was supposed to help keep him safe.

Maybe it did, for a while.

But then, well, maybe it started to harm rather than help.

Limit what he could truly do.

He honestly and truly doesn't know.

But, well, he's reluctant to  do anything that could potentially be harmful.

He's grown far too attached to these habits to try and change anything.

Maybe it's for the best.

He takes off his yellow bandana, the one he's hid his face behind for so long.

Is he truly ready to let go of it?

No.

He isn't.

So he tucks it away.

Just in case.

Just in case.
