"Lay here, child," the bishop tells her.

She looks at him, wide eyed with fear.

"Where are my parents?"

He pats her arm reassuringly.

"They're perfectly alright," the figure in red says

Sensing her discomfort, he says, "I promise."

The girl looks at him with wide eyes. "Am I gonna be alright?"

"Of course," the red figure says. "You trust me, don't you?"

"No," she says quietly. "I don't."

"Oh," the figure says, "You will."

She swallows.

"I'm not going to hurt you," he says.

She finally just nods.

Lays down.

"Close your eyes..." he tells her. "You will know when it's time to wake."

When he returns she is staring at the neon lights on the floor, completely mesmerized.

He just smiles.

He knew it.
