If he had to guess he'd say they were maybe, maybe halfway there...he wasn't sure though. Things were somehow still familiar enough he found himself relaxing slightly, but not enough that he could completely.
Something had changed, though. Maybe a lot of things. It's hard to say.
And not only with him. Going back there...well, it did something to his mind. Now just being around two of the people he'd slowly grown to count as friends, it makes him wonder and think some not great things...even though he knows it's irrational.
He doesn't want to think about what it will be like being around so many people...
Maybe it will do something good.
Maybe it won't...
He doesn't really want to think about that.
In fact he doesn't want to think about it, ever.
His mind circles around to another topic.
His friend...
Well, Tyler seems to have been acting...differently than before.
More distant.
Like something's wrong.
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't...
But he doesn't know because he's been talking less.
Keeping to himself more.
He looks over and sees that Jenna's talking with him.
That's good.
It definitely is.
He keeps watching them, and...
That's adorable, he thinks.
For a few precious moments he feels genuinely happy, seeing Tyler and Jenna being all, affection.
He decides to take it as a good sign.
And laughs slightly when the two of them finally break apart.
"That was totally sick!" Josh calls.
Tyler smiles and blushes. "As frick, I hope!"
Jenna smiles, too. "It was."
Josh walks over to the two of them and all of them just laugh.
It feels good.
Maybe there is some good left in the world, after all.
He files that thought away, hopes he can draw on this feeling if-when-he feels bad again.
:):-my emotions. yay happy, jyler, but also like...happiness and sadness aren't that different, you know? the happiest moment will end sooner or later, and sadness sometimes takes the place of where happiness is meant to me, if that makes sense.
