She's not sure why she feels so exposed.
She only took off the yellow jacket she's worn nearly constantly.
And, considering the relative heat of the day that is completely reasonable.
But she hates how being without it makes her seem like a completely different person, one whose more vulnerable.
She feels reluctant to put it back on, though.
Not sure she wants to hide behind the comfort it seems to give her.
Yet not sure she wants to leave it behind, either.
In the end she just holds it in her hands and uses it as a makeshift pillow when she falls asleep that night, collapsing from sheer exhaustion.
The day has finally caught up to her; she doesn't even want to try to remember or think about anything she has done.
It's all just a blur, a crazy blur.
But at least there is some good she can pick out of it, right?
Honestly she isn't sure.
She...well, some good happened.
But lately, it's been hard to pick out the good out of the bad.
The happy out of the just sad, dark, empty parts.
At the end of the day no matter what happened she's simply tired.
Of life and the sheer overwhelmingness of it all.
And if she's lucky she's able to find rest.
For a little while.
But she never truly knows whether it will last or not.
And that is terrifying indeed.
Temporary peace may find her, but permanent rest-not so much.
