She's aware of flashes of what must be going on.

But can't make any sense of it.

Why does it feel like someone is carrying her?

That's not right.

She hopes it's not right.

She doesn't want to leave the place of emptiness and despair she has become so comfortable in.

Why is someone whispering words that genuinely sound comforting?

Shouldn't she be alone?

After some point, though she genuinely does not know when, she finds her eyes opening.

She's honestly and truly surprised to find that she can still do that.

Her whole body hurts.

And there's too much going on.

She doesn't want to try to process it.

But she does understand this much:

Two people are there with her.

"It's okay," both of them are whispering. "We're still here."
