Part 2: Chapter 7

PAGE ONE

Caption:  The Shaolin Temple

Panel 1: An irate Kung Lao paces back and forth. He is wearing his MK11 default. Asai, who has some band-aids on her face and bandages on her arms and her mask down,  is seen trying to calm him down. The other women also have bandages or band-aids on them. Liu Kang in his MK11 default

Kung Lao: I'll slice him in half with my hat! He thinks he can just hurt my wife and kids?!

Asai: Honey, please. I know you're upset but chances are you'll be walking into a trap. I can't have anything happen to you

Panel 2: Kung Lao closes his eyes and sighs. Asai places her hand on his face and they share a kiss. 

Kung Lao: I'm sorry.  I'm just so upset and angry

Asai: Believe me, I understand. 

Liu Kang:  I share your feelings Kung Lao. However, blindly attacking him would only harm us. 

Amino:  Don't worry, we'll all make sure he pays dearly 

Kung Lao: Alright... 

Panel 3: Liu Kang approaches his sons and places his hands on their shoulders

Liu Kang: Are you two okay?

Zhen: Yeah.  Thankfully I was able to avoid serious damage

Jiang: How's Yui? I know she fought him too...

Panel 4: Liu Kang smiles. A burst of thunder appears behind him. Raiden arrives with his children and bows to everyone.  He approaches Liu Kang. Yui goes up to Jiang and smiles.  He stands up and she hugs him. His face becomes red as he hugs her back

Yui: I'm so glad you're okay Jiang

Jiang: Me too. I was worried honestly.

Yui: Same here.  I was anxious to get here and see how you were doing

Jiang: Yeah, I feel ya. I was having trouble staying still

Panel 5: They both laugh. Mariette spots Akira. She runs to him and tackle hugs him, nearly knocking him down. Despite everything hurting, he ignores the pain and hugs her back. 

Mariette: Sorry, I'm sure you're in a lot of pain and I knew you were okay before this but still. I was scared...

Akira: I was too. I'm so happy you aren't in critical condition or anything...

Mariette: Are you feeling any better?

Akira: Yeah, especially after that hug

Panel 6: Mariette blushes. Akira grins. The two of them look at each other, their faces mere inches from each other. They lean forward a bit-when a voice is heard

Takeda: Mariette!

Mariette: Oh yeah, I forgot! I'll be back. Parents want to put some sort of ointment or something on my injuries 

Akira: Huh? Oh sorry I was uh... out of it for a bit 

Panel 7: Mariette giggles and walks off. Akira smiles, his face still red. Scorpion walks next to him, smiling

Scorpion: Somebody has a crush I see

Akira: I do. She's amazing...

Scorpion: I guess we both like dark-skinned girls

Panel 8: The two of them laugh.
