Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 22

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Sub-Zero and Noob both move towards each other.  Sub-Zero slips a cross from Noob and lands a left body hook that breaks his ribs and busts his liver.  Noob comes back with a left hook followed by a cross that shatters Sub-Zeros face and a right head kick. Sub-Zero blocks another head kick from Noob and comes back with one of his own. Sub-Zero continues by locking Noob in the clinch and landing several elbows to his head before landing hard knees to his body. Noob is able to push Sub-Zero away and snag him with his sickle before picking him up and slamming him over his head onto the ground, breaking his ribs in the process. Sub-Zero gets back up and stabs Noob in the chest with an ice ax before landing an ax kick that breaks the top of his skull.

Panel 2: Sub-Zero lands his slide and launches Noob into the air. He forms an ice wall and grabs Noob by the leg, throwing him through the ice wall. Noob gets up and has his clone tackle Sub-Zero to the floor.  Noob goes through a portal and appears above Sub-Zero,  landing a double stomp on his midsection that breaks his ribs. Noob goes to stab him with his sickle but the moment he makes contact with Sub-Zero he gets frozen. Sub-Zero is seen standing in front of Noob. He lands a right uppercut on Noob. Noob gets up and narrowly dodges ice spikes that Sub-Zero shoots at him, although one grazes him on the cheek.  Noob's sickle clashes with one of Sub-Zeros ice axes. The two of them share an intense look

Noob: You always mimicked me, but you make a poor Grandmaster!

Sub-Zero: You say that yet I've become my own man! While you stay stuck on the past Lin Kuei principles, I moved forward and led the clan to greater heights. My way of thinking allowed the Lin Kuei to finally end the feud with the Shirai Ryu and unite against greater threats!

Noob: Pathetic!

Sub-Zero: Why Bi-Han? Why do you allow Quan Chis corruption to continue to flow through you? You can still come back I know it! There's still some part of you left in there!

Panel 3: Noob blinks and seems to ponder his brothers words.  Meanwhile, the other Earthrealm warriors gather around the two.

Sub-Zero: I know my words are reaching you Bi-Han! Hear them and try to come back to who you used to be!

Noob: Kuai...

Sub-Zero: I know you can hear me in there Bi-Han!

Panel 4: Noob closes his eyes,  shakes his head and leaps back from Sub-Zero before sending a clone at him.   Sub-Zero easily dispatches of the clone by shooting at it with an ice shard. Noob rushes forward and the two brothers begin to trade blows

Panel 5: We then cut to another scene in front of the Lin Kuei temple. We see a human Bi-Han training with a teenage Kuai Liang. We see each of them blocking each other's strikes.  Then we transition to them as they are now and we recognize that they're replicating those exact same moves,  the exact same motions that they were doing when they were training in front of the temple. The two of them are easily able to anticipate what the other one wil throw and block it. Kitana and Bao watch as the two of them battle

Kitana: Your father always told me how much time they spent training together.  They became so used to each others moves that they were able to know what the other would throw. They're so acquainted with each others fighting style that it becomes hard for either one of them to gain the upper hand. 

Bao: I remember when Dad told me that the way he fights, the techniques he uses, his tricky style and ability to easily counter and confuse his opponent.  He told me only three people were ever able to figure him out and deal with his fighting style.  Master Hasashi,  Lord Raiden... and uncle Bi-Han.
