Chapter 20

PAGE ONE

Caption: The next morning

Panel 1: Sub-Zero and Kitana laying in bed together. Their clothes are strewn all over the place.   Kitana is in Sub-Zero's arms.  She stirs awake and opens her eyes.  Sub-Zero soon follows. They smile at each other and kiss

Kitana: Good morning my love

Sub-Zero: Waking up to you definitely makes it a good morning

Kitana: Such a charmer.  Last night was amazing. I wish it didn't have to end

Sub-Zero: Me neither. You made me feel so good. 

Kitana: As did you love. I just want to cuddle with you all day.

Sub-Zero: I wish we didn't have to do anything today. That sounds fantastic

Kitana: I know, but, it's for the best. 

Panel 2:  The two of them share a kiss and go to get ready

Panel 3: We see Scorpion and Jade at a balcony, side by side, looking over the clan members training. 

Jade: Did you ever think you would get to witness this again? 

Scorpion: Briefly, but I always told myself it was merely a dream.  That I was thinking about the impossible, and I should forget about it. But, I didn't. And now, I once again get to see my clan training. 

Jade: I'm glad you didn't give up. 

Scorpion: I... just feel as if I don't deserve any of this

Panel 4: Jade turns to look at him. Scorpion does the same

Jade: Why do you feel that way?

Scorpion: I did so many terrible things when I was under Quan Chi. I betrayed my own realm for my vengeance. And then when I was resurrected, I killed Quan Chi without listening to the others. I almost doomed the others to be stuck at Revenants forever... I almost doomed you to that fate. Yet for some reason I was fortunate enough to get a new clan and even fall in love again, yet I do not feel worthy of it. I don't feel worthy of you

Jade: I won't hear such nonsense Hanzo. You made mistakes and you're trying to atone for them. You should not hate yourself and view yourself as unworthy. You're extremely worthy. Despite your past actions, you changed and dedicated yourself to a good cause. You were misguided and clouded by anger and lies. But don't hate yourself. You actively made an effort to better yourself instead of wallowing in self pity. And now, you are a fine warrior, a great leader, and an even better man. And you are worthy of being with me. I love you Hanzo

Scorpion: I love you too Jade

Panel 5: Jade places her hands on Scorpion's face and kisses him. Scorpions wraps his arms around her. The two of them press their foreheads together, eyes closed, smiling.

Jade: I can't wait for our wedding next week

Scorpion: It's truly a dream come true

Panel 6: They kiss again

Scorpion: We should get going

Jade: Indeed my love.

Panel 7: The two of them teleport away 

PAGE TWO

Panel 1: Raiden training with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero lands his ice slide and launches Raiden in the air. Scorpions does an air teleport and catches Raiden with a flaming right uppercut. Raiden falls to the ground but easily gets back up. He goes for Scorpion with a cross, but Scorpion dodges and reveals one of Sub-Zero's ice clones behind him. Raiden makes contact with the ice clone and gets frozen. Sub-Zero lands a right kick to Raiden's body, and Scorpion follows up with a jumping right knee.
