Kung Lao: How is this possible?
Raiden: I spoke with the Elder Gods. I wanted to provide Kung Lao with a training opportunity I knew he'd like, thus I was allowed to temporarily bring back the Great Kung Lao.
Kung Lao: Raiden, you didn't have to
Raiden: I wanted to. You always expressed that you'd love to meet your ancestor and train with him, so I thought I'd make that dream come true for you
Kung Lao: This is amazing!
The Great Kung Lao: I'm honored to meet both of you. You carry the Shaolin title with pride and you continue to make the White Lotus proud to this very day.
Liu Kang: Thank you. Ever since we were young we strived to represent the White Lotus Society
The Great Kung Lao: And look at all you two have accomplished. You're a former Mortal Kombat champion Liu Kang! And you Kung Lao. You did what I couldn't and defeated Goro. Not only did you defeat Goro, you were able to defeat both Shang Tsung and Quan Chi at the same time! That is no easy feat. Both of you have made myself and the Shaolin of the White Lotus extremely proud
Kung Lao: That means a lot coming from you...I can't believe this is happening. Please, let us introduce you to our families
The Great Kung Lao: Of course!
Panel 2: Kung Lao and Liu Kang take their wives hands and bring them to the Great Kung Lao. Liu Kang speaks first
Liu Kang: This lovely woman is my wife Amino. She's an amazing fighter, wife and mother.
Amino: Hello! It's very nice to meet you! Liu Kang is quite wonderful himself as well!
The Great Kung Lao: It's great to meet you!
Liu Kang: Boys!
Panel 3: Zhen and Jiang appear and look at the Great Kung Lao in awe
Jiang: Uh dad?
Zhen: Is that?
Liu Kang: It is boys. The Great Kung Lao. These are my sons Zhen and Jiang
Panel 4: The boys and the Great Kung Lao bow to each other. Asai arrives with Ishiro and Aiko, who look at the Great Kung Lao in awe .Aiko is holding a white rabbit. They immediately bow to him.
Ishiro: No way! It's dad's ancestor!
Aiko: This is so cool!
Kung Lao: These are my children, my daughter Aiko and my son Ishiro, the rabbit is our pet rabbit, Kung Pao. And this lovely lady is my wife Asai
Asai: It's nice to meet you!
The Great Kung Lao: Likewise! You have a wonderful family. You've accomplished so much too!
Kung Lao: Yeah... but you were a champion. You actually won the tournament. I entered it and although there was no shame in losing to Scorpion at all, it still hurt that I wasn't able to get anywhere close to what you achieved
Liu Kang: Not to mention, the Shaolin had a tendency to overlook him. I was designated as the Chosen One and as a result, they focused mostly on me
Raiden: I was guilty of that myself. I was so dedicated to ensuring Liu Kang's victory that I made the mistake of overlooking Kung Lao and the potential he possessed
