Panel 1: Satoshi immediately launches a fireball at Reiko.  Reiko sidesteps it and tosses some shurikens at Satoshi.  Satoshi teleports out of the way and reappears behind Reiko, who turns around and gets caught with a kick.  Satoshi teleports again and goes for a cross but Reiko teleports away himself and lands a hard dropkick to Satoshis face. Satoshi is staggered and Reiko uses the opportunity to drive two knees into his body before sending him away with an uppercut.  Reiko tosses some more shurikens but Satoshi unsheathes his katana and slices them away.  He teleports and appears in front of Reiko,  landing a jumping knee that breaks his jaw. Satoshi then lands a hard flaming spinning back kick that knocks Reiko back and almost out of the arena.  Reiko does a kip up and him and Satoshi begin to engage in battle. They throw strikes,  each blocking,  limbs clashing.  Satoshi lands a flaming left body hook followed up by a right body knee and he ends it off with a flaming backflip kick that knocks Reiko into the air.

Panel 2: Satoshi teleports above Reiko and knocks him to the floor with a flaming front flip kick.  He goes to stomp down on Reiko but the general teleports away and uses the opportunity to land a hard kick to Satoshis head that sends him back.  He capitalizes on the opportunity by landing a flying knee followed up by a spinning back kick that knocks Satoshi down.  Reiko then summons a hammer,  similar to Shao Kahns and goes to swing down at Satoshi. Satoshi rolls away but immediately gets caught with a blow to the body from the hammer which sends him flying halfway across the arena as well as breaking a few of his ribs. He lands a flip kick on Satoshi and follows up with a shoulder charge similar to Shao Kahns, except he's shrouded in blue energy. He tosses more shurikens,  some of them slicing Satoshi a bit.  He goes for a cross but Satoshi parries and counters with a flaming cross of his own followed up by a flaming left head kick that knocks Reiko to the right. Satoshi then launches an item similar to Scorpion's spear, which Reiko is able to narrowly dodge. Satoshi pulls it back to him. Scorpion gets a closer look at the weapon- a long chain with a sickle attached to it. A kusarigama.

Scorpion: The kusarigama? I remember when he was a kid he wanted to train with that weapon...and he mastered it in his timeline.

Masashi: He did. It was the second most difficult weapon to master after the spear. In my time, he wanted a weapon similar to your kunai but also something different to make him stand out as his own person.  He told me that he picked the kusarigama and trained with it since he was young.  He became a master with it.

Akira: Kinda like me when I chose the rope daggers I use.

Masashi: Yes. Both are similar to Scorpion's spear but they also stand out enough. How did you end up deciding on the rope dagger Akira? And I'd love to know more about your swords as well

Akira: Well my father has his spear, Takeda, my unofficial older brother has his bladed whips and my unofficial older sister Asai has her daggers. So I wanted a weapon that combined all three of those things, and my girlfriends mom created it for me. I shoot them from my gauntlets. As for the swords, I wanted swords like my dad and a staff like my mom. So I got both.  The ends of the swords connect to form one big bladed staff.

Scorpion: Both are very effective weapons.

Masashi: Indeed.  Satoshi was taught how to use a sword by you and he's also become quite skilled with using it.

Panel 3: We cut back to the fight. Satoshi spins the kusarigama around before he swings it at blinding speed at Reiko, who twists out of the way but gets cut on the arm. Satoshi surrounds it in Hellfire and swings it more, twisting around as he swings the kusarigama, slicing Reiko a bit more.  Reiko is able to duck under a swing but gets cut in the back as well as being set on fire.  Satoshi swings more, slicing Reiko up and burning him. Reiko is able to recover and teleport away from another slice.  Satoshi retracts the kusarigama and puts it on his belt. Quan Chi looks slightly surprised.
