Panel 1: Onaga steps into the center of the room.
Onaga: Good, you're all here. Let us begin to discuss plans.
Guan Chen: Uhhh. Not to be disrespectful or anything but do we really need to plan? I mean are they really that strong that we need to fortify our defenses or whatever.
Onaga: You sound like a fool Guan. I know the caliber of enemy we're facing. I am aware you and Zhang are used to facing enemies that are beneath your skill level but this isn't the case for these enemies. Shao Kahn was my top warrior for a while, almost to the point where he rivaled me, and he's only become stronger. The fighters he has have also only become stronger. They are quite dangerous, and to underestimate them would be a fool's decision.
Hageshi: It's never wise to underestimate an enemy. That dismissive mindset can lead to victory slipping from your grasp.
Ayuna: Indeed my love. It's never wise to take an enemy lightly especially if you have no knowledge of them. I look forward to testing myself against these new fighters.
Guan Chen: Okay fine, point taken. But like, who exactly are we facing? I'm sure that Shao Kahn is bringing the others from the last time we fought.
Zhang Bei: That werewolf guy tore through half of the army by himself last time.
Onaga: That is correct, I am confident we'll be facing him again. That's not all though. There are many powerful fighters that hail from the universe Shao Kahn and I are from. What makes these warriors so dangerous is that, all of them have great physical strength, yes. They're all very powerful and strong. However, they're also skilled martial artists. Shao Kahn is often dismissed by some as a mere brute, however that is far from the truth. He combines his incredible strength with his cunning intellect and his martial arts skill. The same is true for the others we face. Not only does he have powerful mortals, he has also recruited the help of two gods from the universe we inhabit. One is known as the God of Thunder, Raiden, and the other is known as the God of Wind, Fujin.
Subayai: These fighters from your universe, surely they must be champions of the gods?
Kaida: It's likely that is the case.
Onaga: Indeed. I'm not sure who exactly Shao Kahn has recruited, but it's likely that one of them is the former Mortal Kombat champion, Liu Kang. Throughout every timeline, he has claimed the title of champion at least once. Alongside him is the highly respected fighter known as Kung Lao. There are also two warriors, Scorpion and Sub-Zero, that wield the powers of fire and ice. From the realm of Edenia, there are two legendary assassins known as Jade and Kitana. Thousands of years old, quick, efficient and deadly.
Panel 2: The mention of Jade and Kitana gets the attention of Ayuna and Kaida, who get a gleam in their eyes, seemingly finding a challenging opponent perhaps.
Chertov: Seems like we've got our work cut out for us so far. They sound like challenging opponents.
Kuroi: For sure. We're still gonna be victorious though.
Yuki: Damn right we will.
Subayai: I'm getting tired of waiting! I just wanna fight already!
Hayai: Someone's eager.
Ayuna: Patience my child. Believe me, your father and I also share that desire. We promise it will come shortly.
Hageshi: I savor the thought of facing even one powerful opponent.
Kaida: The assassin women sound like they'd be quite the challenge. I look forward the most to facing them.
Onaga: I am glad to see we're in such high spirits. Now then, let us organize our army, and find the Kamidogu.
