Part 2: Chapter 46

PAGE ONE

Panel 1:  Kotal Kahn carefully takes the glass case containing the glowing ruby. The ruby glows bright red, an almost blinding bright red glow emanating from it. Reptile and Erron Black gaze at it again.

Reptile: Have you been able to deduce what it is Erron?

Erron: Not at all.  I'm still trying to think about what the hell this thing is. In all my years I've never seen anything like it. Well I've seen rubies but nothing like this one.

Kotal: Hopefully we are able to get an answer from Raiden.  Let us depart now.

Panel 2: The four of them head outside.  Ermac chants and opens a portal for them, which they all step through.

Panel 3: We cut to Scorpion and Sub-Zero,  charging at each other,  Scorpions orange flame aura around him striking the pose of Vegeta from the first fight with Goku, while Sub-Zeros skin and hair and eyes are completely blue. He is in Gokus pose from the first fight with Vegeta, as a tribute to Dragon Ball Z.  They clash fists and begin to engage in a sparring match. Scorpion can be seen using his orange Hellfire to move around and defend, however the moment he attacks he switches to using his blue Hellfire for a very brief  moment and then switches back to his regular  orange  Hellfire.  Raiden and his wife are seen watching.  We also see the twins, Jade and Kitana , and Fujin and Mana. We then see Liu Kang and Kung Lao sparring.  Scorpion and Kung Lao jump back to one side, while Sub-Zero and Liu Kang jump back to the other side. They then charge again,  ramping up the intensity.  Liu Kang charges fire into his fist,  and for a brief second,  his flame flashes blue and even appears to be surrounded by thunder.  His eyes also briefly glow white, causing everyone to stop and stare in total surprise.  Even Liu Kang seems shocked and confused at what just happened.

Kung Lao: Woah! What was that? It was kinda cool.

Liu Kang: I'm not sure...

Scorpion: Perhaps it's a sign of you tapping into a higher power as well. When I was first tapping into my blue Hellfire, Raiden noticed that whenever I had my regular Hellfire aura, he'd see flicks of blue in it,  and there was even an instance where I released my full power and my aura turned blue.  If I'm correct,  that brief flash of blue was a sign of you getting closer to being able to utilize blue flames.

Panel 4: We get a very brief flashback of Scorpion training with Raiden.  There are flicks of blue seen in his Hellfire aura,  and when he releases his full power,  the aura flashes blue for a split second,  causing Raidens eyes to widen.

Raiden: You're right Scorpion. The brief flash of thunder I saw was quite interesting.  I even noticed some sparks of thunder around you as well Kung Lao.

Fujin: I also noticed that Kung Lao seemed to be manipulating the air around him

Kung Lao: Well, you have been teaching us how to use thunder Raiden, and Fujin has been teaching me to use the wind to amplify my hat attacks. I'm willing to bet that our bodies are getting used to it. Pretty badass if you ask me. Guess we're gonna shock the world.

Asai: Why did I know you'd make such a shitty joke?!

Kung Lao: Cause I had to.

Fujin: I have a question for all four of you.  Are you able to sense my energy as well as Raidens energy?

Sub-Zero: I...I am. Yes.

Panel 5: The other men all nod. Raiden and Fujin smile.

Fujin: Good. So the four of you are able to sense divine energy now.
