Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 5

PAGE ONE

Caption: 40 something years ago

Panel 1: We see a village. There are several people dressed in black and blue, all of them masked. Several are sparring with each other. 

Panel 2: We see a young boy, early teens. Black hair and blue eyes, average build. He wears a blue sleeveless shirt, black pants and black shoes, along with blue wristbands. He is training with a boy with long white hair, with a black long sleeve shirt and a gray sleeveless shirt with black pants and shoes.  The two boys begin to engage each other in combat.  The boy with white hair throws a kick, but the boy with black hair evades and counters with one of his own.  The boy with white hair stumbles and throws a cloud of smoke. The boy with black hair dodges and throws an ice ball, which the white haired boy ducks under

Caption: Sub-Zero and Smoke, when they were teenagers. 

Young Smoke: I see you're getting better Kuai

Young Sub-Zero: The same can be said for you Tomas

Panel 3: The boys begin to engage each other again. They block each other's strikes. Smoke lands a left hook to Sub-Zero. He comes back with a right knee to the body.  Smoke goes for a right body kick, but Sub-Zero freezes him. He shatters the ice with a right uppercut, followed up by a left hook, cross and right kick to the body.  Smoke teleports behind him. Sub-Zero goes for a backhand, but Smoke teleports in front of him and lands a cross, followed by a left hook and right knee. 

Panel 4: Sub-Zero freezes Smoke again and lands a teep to his body.  Smoke gets up and catches Sub-Zero with a double leg takedown.  He places his knee on Sub-Zero's chest and throws punches, which Sub-Zero blocks.  He shoots a beam of ice, which Smoke jumps back from.  Sub-Zero gets right back up

???: Alright you two, that's enough for now

Panel 5: The two boys turn to see a tall man, dressed in a black and blue outfit. He wears a blue mask, with a blue sleeveless shirt bearing a Lin Kuei symbol on the left side, and a black short sleeve shirt underneath. He wears black fingerless gloves with black and blue gauntlets.  His belt is blue with silver outlines, and it has a blue loincloth with silver trimmings.   His pants are black with blue shin guards and he wears black shoes.  He has blue eyes and has a hood on his head.  He pulls it down to reveal hair that comes down a little past his ears. He removes his mask to reveal a goatee.   He smiles at the two boys.  The young Sub-Zero excitedly runs to him.

Sub-Zero:  Hey Bi-Han!

Tomas: How was your mission?

Bi-Han: Hey you two. It went smoothly, as usual.  How are you two boys holding up?

Sub-Zero:  I'm doing great. Starving though

Smoke: Yeah, same here. 

Bi-Han: Let's get you two some food

Both of the boys: Yeah!

Panel 6:  Bi-Han leads the boys to the kitchen.  Two other boys are sparring.  One of them wears a black shirt with yellow outlines, along with black pants and shoes with a yellow belt wrapped around his waist.  He is African American. The second boy wears a black shirt with red outlines, along with black pants, shoes, and red wristbands.  Bi-Han approaches the two boys

Bi-Han: Alright Cyrax and Sektor, time for a break.

Cyrax: Finally! I was starving

Sektor: We could have kept going Cyrax

Smoke: It's good to take breaks

Sub-Zero: Exactly, you never want to overwork yourself
