Part 2: Chapter 62

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Scorpion and Hageshi clash, both throwing strikes in an intense exchange.  Their blows create shockwaves. Hellfire burns the ground beneath them. Scorpion strikes first with a knee to the body. Hageshi lands a flaming spinning backfist. Scorpion lands a flaming left head kick. The two of them move and battle all throughout the arena, leaving chunks of it destroyed.  They move so fast you can only see their speed lines. We get a shot of them clashing knees.

Panel 2: They break apart and begin to trade blows again.  Scorpion lands two left hooks to the body,  one to the head,  a right uppercut and a right knee to the body.  He breaks away and lands a right leg kick followed by a body kick. He aims a flying knee but Hageshi sidesteps and counters with a head kick. He blasts Scorpion with a flaming cross to the body that sends him back. Hageshi goes for a double flaming ax handle but Scorpion teleports away and goes for a flaming front flip kick.  He lands on the floor as Hageshi teleports away in time.  Hageshi goes for a Hellfire blast but Scorpion kicks it away and lands a blast of his own on Hageshi.

Panel 3: Scorpion summons Hellfire under Hageshi,  who manages to dodge in time. Scorpion appears in front of his opponent and aims a flaming left uppercut.  Hageshi does the same and they both land on each other,  violently snapping each other's heads back.  They then begin trading blows in the pocket, all offense,  no defense.  They slam elbows into each other's jaws.  Hageshi steps back and pushes Scorpion away with a front kick to the body before charging up and unleashing a blue Hellfire aura. Scorpion does the same thing. 

Hageshi: LET US END OUR BATTLE SCORPION!!! THIS FINAL BLOW WILL BE THE DECISIVE OUTCOKE!!!

Scorpion: VERY WELL THEN! WE SHALL END THIS!!!

Panel 4: Hageshi charges forward, only to be met with flaming chain punches to the chest.  Kung Lao grins as he sees Scorpion borrow a page from his book. Hageshi recovers and charges all of his energy into his right fist.  Scorpion stands there as he charges. 

Akira: What's dad doing?  Is he just gonna stand there and take the attack?

Satoshi: He'll probably lose if takes that head on!

Jade: Trust your father boys.  He knows what he's doing. He's planning something for the right moment.

Panel 4: Hageshi throws a flaming cross. Scorpion charges blue Hellfire into his left. The cross seemingly lands as a massive explosion occurs.  The smoke clears,  slowly revealing the final result.  We see Scorpions fist planted into the left side of Hageshis face.  Hageshis arm is outstretched from the cross,  but it didn't land.

Fang: Oooh I see what he did. He waited for the right moment,  and then he slipped to the right hand side and countered with a left hook. One of my personal favorites.

Vlad: Oh yeah that's the one you land all the time and taught me.

Satoshi: That's the one he taught me last time we sparred. I see why now. It's devastating when timed correctly.

Panel 5: Hageshis arm drops and he fall to his knees before falling down fully. Scorpion bows to him, before falling to one knee, still not used to the Blue Hellfire.  Raiden appears and heals him. Hageshi stirs and begins to wake up. He looks up to see Scorpion offering a hand.  He smiles and takes it as he's helped up.

Hageshi: A fantastic fight Scorpion.  Thank you.

Scorpion: You fight well. Don't worry about your father in law. We'll find a way to help him. I stake that on my honor and my family.

Hageshi: Understood.  May you all succeed in the upcoming battle.

Panel 6: Everyone bows and walks on to the next stage. They pass through another hallway,  where their breath starts to become visible.  They happen upon a massive set of doors. Sub-Zero goes to push it, but the doors are frozen solid.
