Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 15

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Bao and Sub-Zero standing in the training area. Sub-Zero is dressed in his MK11 story mode skin, the one with the cool headband and he has a mask on his face, the one from his MK11 default.  Bao wears a short sleeved black undershirt and a blue sleeveless shirt on top.  He wears black and blue gauntlets, black fingerless gloves, and a blue belt with silver trimmings.  He has black pants with blue and silver shin guards and black shoes. A blue mask is on his face.  He takes a deep breath as he looks at his father

Sub-Zero: There's no turning back Bao. Either you give it your all or you quit now. Your uncle is unrelenting. And there will be others even more powerful than him. If you aren't prepared to be the same way, then this training will be pointless. I'm expecting your best. I know what you're capable of

Bao: I know dad. I won't lie, I do get scared sometimes. But, the desire to protect the people I care about... it overrides that fear. 

Sub-Zero: That's how I always feel too. I've been doing this for quite some time now. You learn to embrace the fear and keep going anyway.  Now...

Panel 2: A frost aura surrounds Sub-Zero's arms. His blue eyes glare directly at Bao, who readies himself. 

Sub-Zero: Go!

Panel 3: Bao is first to move, sliding forward towards Sub-Zero with an ice slide. He sidesteps and throws a kick, which Bao is able to react to by leaning his head back and evading it. He backflips away and dodges ice spikes shot by Sub-Zero. Bao rolls under a left hook and comes back with a cross, left hook, cross and a right body kick.  He goes for another kick but Sub-Zero checks it, blocking with his shin and landing his own right body kick to Bao.  Sub-Zero follows through with a knee to the body. He freezes the ground where Bao is so that he can't move before knocking him into the air with an uppercut.  Sub-Zero freezes Bao and forms an ices sword

Panel 4: Sub-Zero goes to slash Bao. He breaks free from the ice and counters with an ice sword of his own at the last minute,  earning a look of approval from his father.  Sub-Zero easily breaks Baos ice sword and lands a push kick, followed up by his signature ice slide.  When Bao gets launched into the air,  Sub-Zero grabs his leg, throws him at an ice walls and slides forward,  punching him through the wall.  Bao gets up and dodges ice spikes, managing to land an ice slide of his own, launching Sub-Zero into the air and landing a dropkick that sends him crashing to the floor.

Panel 5: Bao continues the attack, landing a knee on Sub-Zero followed by an elbow to his face.  He lands an ice covered left hook followed by a kick to the body.  He freezes Sub-Zero and kicks him back before hitting him with ice spikes he shoots out. He then begins to firm an ice wall around Sub-Zero.  He completes it, then forms more layers around, eventually trapping Sub-Zero in a massive block of ice. He steps back and admires his work. Toriel looks in awe as Kitana smiles

Toriel: Impressive! He made sure to initiate his plan before Sub-Zero could even counter!

Akira: Hah! That's my best friend for ya!

Smoke: Bao is quite impressive indeed

Kitana: Kuai is certainly very proud of him, as am I

Scorpion: Now it's time for the real test to begin

Panel 6: The ice wall begins to crack.  Suddenly it easily shatters after a single punch from Sub-Zero. He cracks his neck. Bao goes to attack again- only to almost hit an ice clone. He turns to his left and sees another ice clone, before also seeing one on his right.  He turns to find himself completely surrounded by ice clones. 

Bao: What the... I can't even tell which one is the real one. Okay Bao... think. He's definitely somewhere among these clones... just gotta be calm and figure it out
