Part 2: Chapter 33

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Cyrax immediately launches a net at Smoke. Smoke dodges and tosses a smoke ball. Cyrax teleports behind Smoke and launches his saw blade from his chest. Smoke teleports away from it in a cloud of vapor. Cyrax launches a bomb for his chest compartment, landing at the feet of Smoke and launching him into the air. He rushes forward and lands a combo on Smoke consisting of a cross, left hook, right roundhouse kick and a spinning back kick. Smoke gets up and summons a vapor cloud from under Cyrax that brings him into the air. Smoke teleports above Cyrax and kneels on his back, grabbing his head and slamming it into the ground as they land. Smoke kicks Cyrax away and unleashes a barrage of vapor blasts at him. Smoke charges vapor into his fist and goes to punch down at Cyrax, but Cyrax is able to teleport behind Smoke. He turns around and gets caught by his net. The cybernetic warrior lands two consecutive reverse heel kicks to Smoke, the second one breaking his jaw. He then kicks him into the air. Cyrax grabs Smoke and throws him to the floor. He shoots a saw blade that digs into Smoke's chest with a deep cut, before he tosses five more bombs, causing a massive explosion. Brianna, Toriel and Serenity all look shocked, tears in their eyes. Even Sub-Zero and Bi-Han look a little worried

Bi-Han: Is Cyrax too much for Tomas? There's no way he's done for yet

Sub-Zero: I refuse to believe it.. I know Cyrax is strong. Still...

Cyrax: Termination sucess-

Panel 2: Cyrax is cut off as a blurry gray shape hits him across the jaw, breaking the skull located inside of his cybernetic body, black blood pouring from his jaw. The blurry shape attacks again, hitting him in the midsection and breaking his ribs. Cyrax looks around in confusion. Sub-Zero and Raiden look at each other and nod

Bi-Han: Kuai, you and Raiden see it too right?

Sub-Zero: I do. I'm sure Hanzo can see it as well.

Scorpion: Yes.

Liu Kang: That gray shape is Smoke. Right?

Sub-Zero: Indeed it is. It's a new technique he developed where he uses the vapors from his body as a sort of boost for his speed. The smoke rapidly pours from his body, and it also increases his strength and durability.

Panel 3: Smoke continues the assault at blinding speed, blitzing Cyrax with hard attacks. Cyrax launches a net but hits nothing. The gray shape that is Smoke continues to move, landing powerful strikes. Cyrax gets hit with another barrage. Smoke prepares another attack, but Cyrax is able to dodge and counter with a spinning back kick. Smoke stumbles and is able to recover. Vapor and smoke pours out from his body at a rapid pace

Cyrax: Systems fully adapted to opponents change in combat style. Countermeasures activated. Proceeding with termination of target

Panel 4: Smoke and Cyrax approach each other. They pause for a brief, silent moment. Then out of nowhere they both begin trading shots in the pocket. Each of them lands hard uppercuts, hooks, elbows and knees on each other. Cyrax gets rocked with a vapor covered right uppercut and left hook followed by a right elbow and a right knee. Hes able to roll under a right hook and land a left body hook followed up by a right uppercut left hook and left knee. Smoke and Cyrax both land vicious right uppercuts on each other, heads snapping violently back.

Sub-Zero: Cyrax always specialized in hand to hand combat, yet Smoke was always willing to engage Cyrax in his own game during sparring sessions. He was never afraid to fight in the pocket with a striker as deadly as Cyrax

Panel 5: Smoke and Cyrax clinch up and begin slamming hard hooks and uppercuts into each other's faces. They then switch to elbows, hitting one another with vicious uppercut and slash elbows. They then drive knees into each other's bodies. Smoke begins to gain an advantage, landing two elbows to Cyrax before landing a knee to his head. He then pushes Cyrax away with a front kick. Smoke tosses a smoke ball but Cyrax sidesteps it and catches him in his net. Cyrax rushes in and lands a cross left hook and right uppercut followed by a right head kick. He then shoots a bomb from his chest and launches Smoke into the air. He teleports behind Smoke and kicks him away. Smoke gets up and cracks his neck. The smoke pouring out from his body increases, shooting out at a much more rapid pace. Smoke rushes forward and blitzes Cyrax at a much faster pace this time.
