Chapter 25

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Raiden cracks his neck

Takeda: What is this power? I've never felt something like this before...

Kenshi: The power of an Elder God is not to be taken lightly.

Fujin: It will be an uphill battle but we are close. He is injured,  which works in our favor. Keep hitting him where it hurts.

Kung Lao:  We can do this. 

Raiden: Enough blabbering! When are you going to attack?!

Jax: Right now

Panel 2: All of them charge Raiden at once. Kung Lao lands several chain punches, before teleporting behind Raiden and kicking him. He then jumps in the air and lands a dive kick, landing several more chain punches to his face before landing an elbow to his face. Raiden blasts Kung Lao back and lands his Electric Fly. He flips him over and throws him into Liu Kang.   Kitana slashes at Raiden with her fans, but he dodges. Jade throws her razorang but the Thunder God dodges.  He kicks Kitana away and blasts Jade back.  Fujin and Raiden begin to engage in a fight, each one of them blocking the other's strikes. Their forearms clash and they share an intense stare

Fujin: You have to fight it Raiden! 

Raiden: You are blinded brother! Let me free you. Can't you see that this is the way?!  You claim to care so much about Earthrealm yet you are not willing to see my philosophy?! We should be exerting our authority over those who try to threaten us yet you choose to follow the peaceful approach I once followed!

Fujin: Believe me Raiden I want to protect this realm just as much as you do! But in your desire for protection you hurt innocent people! That is not something I can just tolerate!

Raiden: Then you are weak! What kind of god is not willing to exact his power and put mortals in line?!

Fujin: We made a vow to protect and coexist alongside mortals! This corruption is clearly clouding your judgement!

Raiden: Quite the opposite! I am better this way! You should join me brother, and we will make sure no one ever threatens our realm again!

Fujin: I understand wanting to protect your realm, but not like this! Not at the cost of hurting innocent people!

Raiden: You utter fool! I thought my own brother would support me!

Fujin: Not like this!

Panel 3: Raiden blasts Fujin back and continue to engage the others. Kabal goes to stab Raiden with his hook swords, but Raiden grabs them and electrocutes them, before kicking Kabal back.  Fujin shoots out wind bullets from his fists that hit Raiden's midsection. He then proceeds to jump and run on thin air, kicking Raiden in the head.  Liu Kang lands his bicycle kick again, knocking Raiden to the floor. 

Panel 4: Raiden gets up and growls, before channeling thunder into his palms and striking the ground,  shocking everyone.  He summons thunder above him, preparing to blast everyone into oblivion. Suddenly, a portal opens up. Everyone looks in its direction.  No one steps out. Raiden looks puzzled

Panel 5: Suddenly a bullet comes whizzing out towards Raiden. Raiden easily dodges, and gets struck from behind. He turns around, but doesn't see anyone. He then gets struck from the side, and once again he turns to see nobody.  He closes his eyes and concentrates. He throws a left hook, and strikes somebody.  The assailant is revealed to be Reptile, who leaps back towards the portal. Kotal, Erron and Ermac step out of the portal.

Raiden:  Kotal Kahn?!  I did not expect to see you.  You are making a foolish choice by showing your face around here!

Kotal Kahn: You cannot keep us down for long Raiden. You hurt innocent people when you attacked us.
