Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 74

PAGE ONE

Caption: A month ago, Shirai Ryu Fire Gardens. The training grounds.

Panel 1: We get a wide shot of Scorpion and Akira in a training arena. Akira reaches back and unsheathes both of his swords,  before  moving in a blur, attempting to attack Scorpion with his weapons.  Scorpion easily deflects with his own katana, blocking the attack.   Satoshi is the one mediating the session.

Akira: Damn! You drew your sword so fast I didn't even see!

Scorpion: You'll get there one day too.

Panel 2: Scorpion attempts to kick his son away but Akira is able to evade it and goes for another slash. Scorpion blocks again and knees Akira in the body. Akira stumbles and teleports away in a mist of green energy. Scorpion goes to attack behind, but it was a fake as Akira then uses a flameport to teleport in a burst of flame and utilize his green energy to land a flaming Blazing Nitro Kick to Scorpion that knocks him down. Scorpion gets back up as Akira goes for a slash attempt. He sidesteps and kicks him in the body.

Panel 3: Akira stumbles back and decides to combine the hilts of his swords to form a bladed staff.  His blades clash with Scorpions katana.  The two of them clash for a bit before Scorpion knocks the staff out of Akiras hand and uppercuts him.  Akira shakes his head and gets back up. He retrieves his bladed staff and prepares to attack again, when they both stop.

Akira: Woah,  you guys smell that too?

Satoshi: Hell yeah!

Scorpion: Indeed I do. Your mother is probably done making lunch. 

Akira: Well let's go, I'm starving!

Panel 4: Scorpion and his sons walk forward,  Scorpion removing his hood and mask. They enter one of the houses and head to the kitchen.  We see Jade,  Amino, and Asai, wearing aprons while still in their fighting outfits. 

Caption: Jade and the girls had just finished doing some training of their own.

Jade: You three arrived just in time.  The girls and I made something amazing. 

Panel 5: We see plates on the table,  with a three plates full of burritos.  Jade gives Scorpion a quick peck on the lips.

Jade: We've got beef, chicken, and bean.  Beef on the left, chicken in the middle and bean on the right.  Of course it was made with my special Edenian seasoning.  Enjoy, I know I will.

Panel 6: We see everyone eating.  Jade has the mosr amount of burritos on her plate, with 10, while everyone else has 2 or 3. Scorpion has the second largest amount, with 5 beef and two chicken burritos.  Akira also has a large amount.

Caption: Jade was fond of food, and she's quite the large eater,  capable of eating copious amounts. She especially enjoyed devouring her own cooking, as she felt the work she put in made her food taste even better.  It appears Akira inherited his mother's large appetite,  as he was also capable of indulging in massive quantities of food.

Panel 7: After a delicious lunch, we see Scorpion, Akira, Jade and the others back in the training area.

PAGE TWO

Panel 1: Akira outstretches his right hand.

Akira: Okay, time to test out my new move! Here we go!

Panel 2: He channels tiny fireballs into each of his fingertips and his thumb.  He outstretches his hand and takes a deep breath.

Akira: Scatter Flame Shot!

Panel 3: Akira unleashes all of the fireballs- and the impact blasts him back. Scorpion immediately teleports to catch his son and prevent him from  falling.  Akira shakes his head as he's helped down.
