Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 68

PAGE ONE 

Panel 1: We get a shot of the Earthrealms cast faces, all in shock.

Bi-Han: His brother?!

Sub-Zero: Tomas has a brother?! Since when?

Chertov: It's true.

Smoke: How? I don't even remember having any family left at all!

Chertov: Allow me to explain.  First,  I'll start with my real name. Jiri. Jiri Vrbada. And now...

Panel 2: Jiri removes his mask. Aside from his short hair, he's identical to Smoke when he's unmasked. Smoke looks on in shock.

Chertov: We're identical twin brothers Tomas.

Smoke: Your voice changed too...

Chertov: Yes. I learned how to do an American accent for the purposes of going undercover and to avoid suspicion from the cult. As you can see I have more of a Czech accent in my normal voice.  In our town,  there's the legend of the Twin Enenras. Two powerful creatures of smoke and vapor.  A lot of people wanted these abilities but they wanted to use it for the wrong reasons. The Enenras would only give its power to those they saw as worthy. They could sense who was capable of wielding said power for a good purpose.  That's where we come in brother.

Panel 3: We see two Enenras, looking exactly like the ones in Smoke's MK9 ending.

Jiri: The Enenras transferred their powers into us. However,  there was a cult who sought to harvest that power by any means necessary.  They attacked our family.  My Enenra was able to fend them off immediately,  but unfortunately it seems that yours didn't awaken until you were away from our home. I promised our parents I'd find you, preferably alive.

Smoke: I don't..remember anything.  I just remember waking up and wandering until I was found by the Lin Kuei and they took me in.

Jiri: Yes. Upon doing further research,  I discovered that in some cases, those who summon their Enenra don't remember what happened,  while others,  like myself are able to retain their memories after its unleashed. Allow me to show you the events that were wiped from your memory.

Smoke: Alright then... go for it.

Panel 4: Jiri chants some shit and forms a smoke cloud that surrounds his hand. He then places it on Smokes head, and it all comes flooding back to him.  We see him and Jiri as young boys, playing a video game together.  They both look alike with the short hair. We get another memory of them at the dinner table with their parents,  a tall man who looks like an older version of the brothers and a shorter woman with brown hair. We then see the two brothers as teenagers,  before we go to a scene where a group can be seen taking Smoke away. There are several dead bodies on the ground, and Jiri tries to chase them,  but they're too fast.

Panel 5: We then get a scene of young Smoke strapped to a table as a hooded figure stands over him with a knife.  He chants some stuff and prepares to stab the boy in the chest, but just like his MK9 ending,  the Enenra reveals itself and kills the members as well as the hooded figure. Smoke gets up, blinking in confusion and looking around,  wondering how the hell he got here, why there are dead bodies surrounding him. He finds the door and opens it, walking out into the dark of night.

Panel 6: He takes a deep breath and walks forward cautiously,  as it's the only narrow path available.  Eventually,  the path opens up a bit,  and we can see what looks like an ancient castle. The young boy carefully treads forward- when suddenly he's surrounded,  by ninjas clad in black and blue.  Among them is a boy his age and height,  with short black hair and blue eyes. While the other members wield regular weapons,  the boy has daggers made of ice. Smoke looks around,  unable to defend himself,  eyes full of fear. Suddenly,  a tall figure wearing the same colors appears. However, his outfit seems a bit more fancy and high quality. While the other members wear relatively simple blue and black ninja outfits with gauntlets and shin guards and masks, the tall figures outfit is a bit more intricate,  his outfit having some silver mixed in, especially on his forearm and shin guards,  as well as a silver logo on the upper left side of his chest. He also has a head hood that covers his entire head and mask. The other members bear the same logo.
