Mortal Kombat: Fire and Ice

Part 2: Chapter 30

PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Baraka leaps forward, arm blades extended. Kung Lao takes his bladed hat, and the hat clashes with Baraka's blades.

SFX: CLANG!!

Panel 2: Kung Lao lands rapid chain punches to Baraka's body before sending him back with a jumping knee that breaks his nose. Kung Lao moves forward and goes to attack again, but Baraka catches him with a hard knee to his body. Baraka follows through with an uppercut that knocks Kung Lao into the air, as well as breaking Kung Lao's jaw. Kung Lao lands on his feet, grinning. Both fighters are bleeding, Baraka from his nose and Kung Lao from his mouth. Kung Lao smirks. Baraka appears to grin as he sharpens his blades once more. Both fighters charge again, Baraka ducking under a jumping kick and going for his signature Chop Chop attack. Kung Lao is able to teleport behind Baraka and he grabs him and throws him. Kung Lao goes to follow up with more chain punches, which Baraka is able to block and counters with two slashes to his chest followed up by a stab through the monk's shoulder. Baraka takes his blade out and kicks Kung Lao away.

Asai: Shit! That stab looked brutal!

Ishiro: Yeah, but there's no way that will stop dad!

Aiko: Yeah! Do it dad!

Kung Lao: I got this guys. Don't worry

Panel 3: Kung Lao flies forward and lands several spinning kicks on Baraka, following up with his patented chain punches followed up by a dive kick. Baraka gets up and is greeted by several slices from Kung Laos hat. Not to be outdone, Baraka leaps forward and does his blade charge, stabbing Kung Lao only lightly in the stomach due to the monk jumping back and not allowing the blades to fully stab through him. Baraka lifts Kung Lao into the air and tosses him away. Kung Lao hops up. Blood drips off of both fighters. They respectfully nod at each other. Liu Kang and Raiden look on in awe

Liu Kang: Those attacks would have killed anyone else, or at least made them forfeit. His toughness was always on another level but wow...

Raiden: That meeting with the Great Kung Lao lit a fire under him. It took his determination to an entirely different level

Panel 4: Kung Lao teleports and appears behind Baraka, landing a dive kick and knocking him to the floor. He follows up with chain punches to his face before leaping back. Baraka does a kip up and does the move where he shoots spikes out from his back. A few of them graze Kung Lao on the arms. Kung Lao tosses his hat at Baraka, who gets caught as the hat grinds a bit into his shoulder. Kung Lao calls the hat back to him. Baraka catches him with a blade spark, before swinging in a circle, blades slashing, cutting Kung Lao twice. Baraka kicks him in the body before grabbing him in the clinch and landing knees to his body. Kung Lao is able to pull away and kick him twice in the thigh before grabbing him and landing chain punches to his face, sending him away with a knee. Kung Lao teleports behind Baraka before grabbing him and slamming him to the floor. Kung Lao goes for a downward slice, but Baraka blocks it with his blade. Kung Lao leaps back. Baraka lunges. Kung Lao counters by spinning in place and unleashing a gust of wind that carries Baraka into the air.

Panel 5: Baraka falls to the ground and is able to roll away. He scrapes his blades together and hits Kung Lao with a shard from his blades. He follows up by running forward with a knee that breaks the monk's ribs and then doing a blade spin. Keeping up the pressure, he tackles Kung Lao to the ground and impales him in the chest. He gets up, looking at a downed Kung Lao, who slowly struggles to move.

Baraka: Don't tell me you're already done!

Asai: NO SHIT HE ISN'T DONE!!! THERE'S NO WAY HE'S DONE!!!!
