PAGE ONE

Panel 1: Smoke and Cyber Smoke take their stances. They wrap their fists in smoke clouds and charge at each other, fists clashing and smoke billowing out. The two of them begin to battle, matching each other blow for blow, both fighting the exact same way due to essentially being the same person.  Every time one of them throws an attack, the other one throws the exact same move, resulting in constant stalemates. Both of them move and circle each other, trying to gain an advantage.

Sub-Zero: Tomas will have to think outside the box for this one. It's clear that the cyborg knows his every move considering his entire fighting style is integrated into the cyborgs artificial preserves

Bi-Han: So that's how it works. They strip you of everything else but keep your fighting style to turn you into a ruthless killing machine

Sub-Zero: Indeed. The same applies to Sektor, Cyrax... and our cyber counterparts as well. They discard what doesn't work for them,  which in this case is things that they consider too human such as emotions. They enslave your mind, forcing blind loyalty! Forcing you to complete their tasks without question! Thankfully I was able to have my free will restored. I gave Cyrax his as well in this timeline. I'll do it again for this version too

Panel 2: Kitana looks at Sub-Zero then looks down, reflecting on when she saw him get taken by the Cyber Lin Kuei as she watched.  Sub-Zero grabs her hand and squeezes it. She looks up at him. He gives her a warm smile, to which she gives him one back. They then turn their attention back to the action.  Smoke and his cybernetic counterpart are still at a stalemate. They clash fists again

Cyber Smoke: It's no use. I'm more than your equal, I'm better than you in every conceivable way.  The human Lin Kuei are outdated.  The Cyber Lin Kuei will reign supreme and convert all organic life into cyborgs

Smoke: Sektor's really messing with your head huh. The real me wouldn't ever spout such nonsense

Panel 3: Smoke tosses a smoke cloud. His cybernetic counterpart dodges

Cyber Smoke: A predictable ope-

Panel 4: Smoke follows through with a spinning elbow,  a move brand new to Cyber Smoke as he reacts in shock.  Smoke continues by popping two jabs followed up by a cross and a right kick to the body.  The cyborg gets knocked back, before  getting up and shaking his head

Cyber Smoke: Error. These moves are not in the combat protocols.

Smoke: There's no point in relying in the same attacks. It's only natural that I'd progress as a fighter. I used to mostly throw at most two strikes but thanks to some training, I've become more efficient at combos. Seems like your protocols are outdated.

Panel 5: Smoke lands a vapor shrouded cross, left hook and another cross followed by a right knee to the body. He blasts the cyborg with hooks and knees to the body before blasting him back with a huge vapor blast. Smoke grabs his cybernetic counterpart and vibrates him before sending him away a left hook, right uppercut and right head kick.

Bi-Han: I assume you helped him improve on his striking combinations?

Sub-Zero: Yes. We had time to brush up on that so we took time to help him establish it

Bi-Han: Smart idea

Panel 6: Smoke continues to land combinations on his struggling cybernetic counterpart. Shang Tsung looks at Sektor with an annoyed glare

Shang Tsung: This is supposed to be your newest model Sektor? New and improved? He's getting overwhelmed quite easily

Sektor: My apologies.  The new system isn't done fully processing yet. You will see what I mean soon.
