Panel 1:  Kitana and the others have a look of complete surprise on their face. Sub-Zero's entire body visibly shakes with anger.

Johnny: Did he just take a direct blast from Raiden and survive without getting hurt, or am I seeing things?

Kung Lao: He looks pretty angry too

Fujin: Sub-Zero's essentially a human shield in his Unbreakable state. This gives him the ability to take damage without getting hurt. However, this power is still new to him, and he can only take so much damage before cracking. He would be wise to not take too many of those blasts head-on.

Raiden: Had you not been here all of your friends, and your precious Kitana would have been dead! Look how easily I could have killed them! All of this is meaningless! I can easily exterminate all of you! I wanted to see if any of you were worthy before I destroyed you all but I was wrong!  Yet you continue to fight a losing battle! Why? To uphold some pathetic morals? To protect your worthless realm? You try to tout yourself as some hero who is atoning for the past sins of your clan but it is all for nothing!

Caption: Sub-Zero speaks, a calm yet intense anger in his voice

Sub-Zero: That is where you are wrong Raiden. I don't view myself as this hero, here to save the day. I am simply a man fighting to protect what matters most to him. Hanzo is the same way. We seek to destroy anyone or anything that would threaten what we have worked so hard for. You tried to hurt the people I care for... that act is unforgivable!

Panel 2: Sub-Zero walks forward, the ground freezing with each footstep he takes. Raiden throws multiple thunder bolts, which bounce off of Sub-Zero's hardened skin.  Raiden rushes toward Sub-Zero and throws a kick. Sub-Zero blocks and counters with a kick of his own to the body of Raiden. Sub-Zero lands a left slashing elbow, before locking Raiden in the Muay Thai clinch and landing several knees to his body before landing  two right knees to his head.   Sub-Zero grabs Raiden's right leg and lands a single leg takedown.  He attempts ground and pound, but Raiden is able to lock in a triangle choke. Raiden proceeds to try to squeeze the life out of Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero struggles to get out of the chokehold. Raiden grits his teeth and applies more pressure. Sub-Zero begins to freeze the ground beneath them, causing Raiden to release the chokehold. Sub-Zero grabs Raiden in a rear naked choke and goes on his back. His legs wrap around Raiden as his arms lock in the chokehold

Panel 3: Sub-Zero squeezes tightly.  His veins bulge in his arms as he tries to make Raiden pass put from the submission. Raiden struggles to break free. but Sub-Zero has too tight of a grip.  Raiden shocks Sub-Zero in order to get him off.  He picks Sub-Zero up by the throat and shocks him again, before tossing him in the air and kicking him.  Sub-Zero gets up and Raiden blasts him with a barrage of thunder bolts, one of them cracking the hardened skin of Sub-Zero and breaking off a piece.  Sub-Zero ducks under another blast and hits Raiden with an ice slide, launching him into the air.  He creates an ice wall and throws Raiden into it, before sending him through it with a punch to the stomach.  Sub-Zero forms an ice ax and slams it into Raiden's chest, before kicking him in the head with a right roundhouse.  Sub-Zero blocks a thunder wreathed cross from Raiden, the ice on his arm shattering. He counters with a cross of his own, before landing a left hook, followed by another cross,  and a right body kick.

Panel 4: Raiden does his Electric Fly. Sub-Zero gets up. He attempts to grab Sub-Zero's head and shock him, but Sub-Zero freezes his head and lands a right slash elbow.  He follows up with a heavy right leg kick, and a left kick to his body.  Raiden grabs him and shocks him again, before throwing him back.  Sub-Zero is able to avoid another blast and launches Raiden into the air with a right uppercut. He grabs Raiden by the ankle and throws him through a wall of ice.
