You open the door for her and you both step inside. "Mrs Malfoy, how lovely. Usual table?"

"Please Diana."

You follow the waitress and Narcissa to a small table in the back, which is surrounded by voile curtains. You sit down as Narcissa sits beside you.

"Here are today's menus. Just tap on what you want. Enjoy ladies," the waitress smiles and walks away.

"It is not too often I have company here besides Andromeda who I haven't seen in a few weeks."

She taps on her choice of tea and cake as you select a raspberry tea and lemon cake slice. No sooner had you tapped your choice than it appeared on the table in front of you. You pour the tea for you both.

You make some polite conversation for about 30 minutes. It is pleasant being in her company again. It reminded you of the times when you would visit Draco at the manor and would end up gossiping with her in the lounge as Draco sat very content watching you both interact.

After the war you came over to meet Andromeda and Teddy and were so pleased to find that she was exactly like Narcissa and you loved her company just as much. Draco used to laugh and say his three favourite girls laughing was his favourite sound.

"How is Andromeda?" you ask.

"I do not know to be honest. On Christmas Eve morning she went to visit some of Ted's relatives in Ireland. Then with Lucius coming home we decided it was safer she not return to the manor for her and Teddy's safety."

"I am sorry Cissy. Draco told me how much you were enjoying having them stay with you."

"I loved it. You have been speaking to Draco?"

"Well, no. I mean...before...everything happened." You take another sip of your tea so you can avoid looking at her.

She reaches across the table and takes your free hand. "Evelyn. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am about what is happening. I never believed my husband to be capable of such cruelty."

"It's ok Cissy."

"No it most certainly is not. It is not fair. Not to you or to Draco. I can see the light has left his eyes. He used to light up at the mere mention of marriage when he was dating you. Like he couldn't wait to call you his wife. Now he feels nothing."

"I know the feeling."

"Evelyn, I would give up every penny tomorrow for you. I honestly would but Draco won't hear of it. He believes he is doing what is best for me. But to live a life without love. I have has to endure that and I would not wish that on anyone."

You squeeze Narcissa's hands. "I am sorry for what has happened to you. If Lucius had not have been so evil you could have been with your true love and be happy."

"Thank you Evelyn. I have made my peace with my decision. But Draco is making the same mistakes that I made. It is breaking my heart," she sniffs.

There is silence for a few minutes as you eat and drink your tea.

"Cissy. Draco and your situations are different. Astoria is a lovely girl and she will make him a good wife. She already loves him. He will learn to love her. He will forget about me and move on eventually. You both deserve to be happy."

"What about you?"

"I will always love your son. I can't help it. He was my soul mate. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him that was my dream. But now I will have to find a new dream."

"I always wanted you as a daughter-in-law. Astoria, she is nice but she is a little over bearing and her taste is...eccentric to say the least. She would never be my choice for my son. You were perfect...you are perfect for him."
