And now you were crying.
"Well, if we are all admitting our love for the angel, I am too," Theo stepped through the door. "You were the one who convinced me to ask Daphne out after pining after her for months. You probably don't know this, but Evee and I practised what I would say to you Daphne...many, many times."
"I thought he was asking her out one night," Draco chuckled. "I almost punched him!"
"I did not know that!" Daphne smiled. "She also told me to give you a chance, Theo. To see past the idiot to the man that was under. And I am forever grateful I did."
"She basically told me that I needed to dump Blaise and find happiness, and vice versa. She bloody helped both of us get Christmas presents for each other. The perfect gifts, too!"
"And she helped introduce me to Phoenix, who I would never have had the courage to talk to otherwise."
"I knew that if Ginny was a friend of Evee's, then she had to be an amazing person. I was right." Phoenix winked.
"She has been with me through thick and thin. She helped me when my father died even though she was grieving the loss of her own family. She invested in The Quibbler so I could get it up and running again and helped us get premises within The Ministry. She is amazing." Luna smiled.
"And that is why I know I chose the perfect person to be my Maid of Honour." Hermione said, pulling you in for a hug.
"You what?"
"Oh, will you, Evee? You are the reason Harry and I got together in the first place. You helped us both see that we were holding back, afraid to show how we truly felt. You gave us the push we needed. There is no one better to stand next to me, as I marry the love of my life. I want all you girls standing next to me. I'm having all six of you."
"Guess I am having six groomsmen then," Harry laughed.
"So Evee, will you be my maid of honour?"
"Of course! I would love to. Thank you, everyone, for what you said. It means a lot to me." You smiled as tears welled up in your eyes.
"Draco got drunk last night and told us that you thought you were poison and all the hateful things that Lucius said," Ron admitted, sounding sad.
"Broke all of our hearts when we heard," Ginny added. "Evee, you are not poisonous. You are an angel!"
"We would all be lost without you." Pansy sniffed.
"Especially me," Draco wrapped his arms around you.
You wiped a tear that was threatening to fall. "Ok, enough mushy stuff. Back to the celebrations! Harry and Hermione are getting married! We need champagne. And juice for the pregnant ladies."
"Oh, we have champagne in the pantry!" Hermione smiled as she headed into the kitchen with Blaise following and coming back in a few minutes later with trays of drinks.
"Mione has the non alcoholic stuff," Blaise nodded. "I got the good stuff."
Glasses were passed out to everyone as Draco lifted his in the air. "I can not quite believe I am saying this but to Harry Potter and Hermione Granger. The chosen one and his chosen one."
He raised his glass as we all mirrored his actions. "To Harry and Hermione," every chanted.
The celebrations went on all day Saturday and Sunday with every heading home Sunday night to prepare for work the next morning. You had never been as glad of the prospect of work.
When you arrived back home, the exhaustion hit you like a tonne of bricks, and you had to sit down. "Are you [hiccup] ok love [hiccup]?"
Draco had been drinking soldily for Merlin knows how many hours and was definitely a little worse for wear.
