The following morning you were up, showered and ready to head to the office at the crack of dawn.
"What is the rush?" Blaise yawned.
"I have work to catch up on. I missed loads yesterday."
"I knew you would be eager to get going. Lucky I got Luna up early too," Draco laughed.
Luna came skipping into the room at that minute, whistling to herself. She grabbed an apple off the table and proceeded to open her case and throw the apple in. Whatever beast was in there seemed to grunt in response as she closed the case again.
"I am ready to go if you two are?" she smiled.
You threw the last bit of toast into your mouth as you stood up and went to grab your coat.
Draco and Luna were stood by the door with Mack and Bailey.
"Miss Evee, Mack made you all a packed lunch for today and enough for Mr Potter and Miss Granger too." Mack raised the large basket up to you.
"That is sweet, Mack, thank you." You knelt down and kissed the top of the head like you used to when you were a child.
"You is welcome. Mack is happy to help." He puffed out his chest and his ears flapped.
"And Bailey is making you a yummy dinner this evening, so make sure to be home on time." Bailey beamed as he stood up on his tip toes, moving his head under you, showing that he wanted a kiss too. Which he got.
"I will see you later. Look after Narcissa for me," you smile.
"And please make sure Blaise does not forget about his meeting." Luna added.
The three of you set off, Draco with his arm wrapped around your waist and Luna holding your other hand. At the edge of the driveway, you slip through the gates. "No sign of your visitor yet, Miss Daniels, but we are on high alert."
You smile in response as Draco looks at you in confusion. You had so much going on last night, you forgot about the mystery visitor you have. You wonder if he will appear today and if the guards will be able to catch him.
Before Draco can question you, however, you begin to turn on the spot and disappear with a pop, only to arrive right at the end of the Ministry by the Apparition points.
"You are not getting off the hook. What did that guy mean?" Draco asked, crossing his arms.
"Fine, but do not freak out. The only reason I didn't tell you that I completely forgot." As you head up to your office, you recount your conversation with Jeremy from the day before.
Draco is furious that he was not told about this visitor, and vows to speak to the guards when he got home. In the meantime he had to head off to his meeting and Luna had to head off to her office which left you and Oakley alone to get on with some work.
The day seemed to fly in pretty quickly. It was Friday, so today was simply spent having a run-down of every task carried out during the week and coming up with a plan of action for the week ahead.
At about 3pm, you convinced Oakley to head home, as you were pretty much wrapped up for the day. You had a few letters to respond to, for which the owls were patiently waiting in your reception area. One has taken a real shine to Harry and keeps trying to sit on his shoulder as he works. It's adorable.
You lift the last letter off your tray and look to see who it is from. The letter has no return name or any details on it besides your name Evelyn in fancy cursive.
You tear it open, and a letter falls out, along with something which falls under your desk.
The letter has very few words on it...only two words actually...
