You step out of the fireplace to an empty living room. It was just as you remembered from years before. A very large cosy couch was positioned opposite the fireplace and a large armchair sat to the left.

On the walls were hundreds of framed pictures of the many Weasley children. This was your favourite place to visit. Mrs Weasley was always so welcoming to you and treated you like one of her own.

You had promised to visit her some time soon the last time you saw her and you had been thinking about it for a few weeks so the name just popped into your head.

You could hear singing coming from the kitchen so you walked across the small hall. Sure enough Mrs Weasley was dancing around the kitchen singing to herself and was was making what smelled like fresh jam.

You stood watching her for a few minutes with a smile on her face. She reminded you of your own mother the way she happily danced and sang. Carefree. You felt bad that you were there without her knowing so you decided to do the only polite thing you could think of and you cleared your throat.

"Mother of Pearl and all the stars in the sky! Evelyn my dear you gave me a fright!" she smiled as she made her way to you and hugged you.

"I am sorry I came here via the Floo and thought I should announce myself somehow."

"Well it is lovely to see you my dear. I was just making some homemade jam. Ginny is coming back from tour tomorrow, she has been gone all week and I promised her and Phoenix that I would make them some to take back with them."

"I have never made jam. Can I help?"

Mrs Weasley smiled as she opened a drawer to her left and pulled out an apron that was covered in little owls and handed it to you.

"Why don't you stir that big pot over there and tell me what's bothering you." You give her a look of disbelief. How did she know? "I am a mother. That's how I know."

For the next 4 hours you stirred pots of jam and helped Mrs weasley to peel peaches and cut up strawberries.

You found yourself telling her everything. Right from the beginning of you year at Hogwarts right up until this morning. By the time you were finished, the jam was made and in jars to cool and you and Mrs Weasley were seated at the kitchen table with cups of tea and two plates of pastries to nibble on.

Mrs Weasley gave a heavy sigh. "My dear girl. You have been through more than any one person should have to face in this lifetime. I know that what that young girl said to you was upsetting but to be honest it sounds like she was just saying it to upset you. I don't think what she said was true."

"It was true. I know she exaggerated but what she said about Draco believing it was easier to be with Astoria? He did say that. And what Harry said about not feeling anything for me? Harry did say that – nicer obviously and after I said it to him but it is true so I do believe the rest of it to be true. She twisted everything to make it sound more hurtful but it was true."

"But taken out of context."

"I know that. But I still feel like a burden to everyone. I still feel like maybe a bit of her was right. Maybe everyone is better off without me. Whoever it is out there is after me. If I wasn't around they wouldn't have to watch their backs or hide out. They would be free."

"I know for a fact that not one of them would rather live without you. Especially not Draco. He loves you."

"But he has had to give up everything for me. It seems so unfair."

"Do you know that when I first told my family that Arthur and I were together they wouldn't accept it. They knew that he had no money and we would be poor. But I didn't care. I gave it all up for him. Gladly. I loved him. It's not such a huge sacrifice when you get to be with the person you love."
