The week passed quickly and in the blink of an eye you find yourself standing in front of the mirror in a mid length green satin gown and sandals.
For some reason you are nervous. You shouldn't be. Everything is finally set in place. You were graduating 2nd in your year only below Hermione (no surprise) and Draco was third meaning the three of you would be receiving special awards for your achievements.
Hermione's parents were arriving any minute and Narcissa was there disguised as Andromeda to see Luna and Draco. The Wesley's had all arrived to see Ginny and Ron picked up their diplomas.
Lucius and Mr Greengrass had decided to skip the ceremony even though Lucius was bring allowed to attend with an Auror guard.. I think Draco's letter cancelling the engagement may have had something to do with their absence.
Blaise's mum was there and on her best behaviour as her new husband was in tow and seemed to really be taking good care of her.
Everyone had someone there but you and Harry. Although Mr & Mrs Weasley treated Harry like family.
Breakfast was a bit awkward, as the families had arrived early to spend time with everyone before the ceremony began. This meant that you felt like a bit of a third wheel to everone so you hurried through your meal and made your way outside to the grounds.
It was a beautiful day and chairs lines the grounds as the ceremony was being held outside. You decided to take a walk around the lake as other guests began to arrive.
"Don't tell me you are getting nervous are you?"
You turn to see Draco standing wearing a striking black suit with a green tie. He looked gorgeous.
"What? Oh no just having one last lap before we leave this afternoon. I am going to miss this place."
"Me too. Thank you for making me come back. You were right. I am leaving with much better memories this time around. Well some better memories anyway."
"Yeah me too. It's not what I planned but it's ok."
"I am sorry I ruined the year you had planned."
"It's fine. Really. In a way you helped me. You made me remember the person I am. I am alright by myself."
"Evee. I wanted to talk to you all week."
"About what?"
"Well I mean, I left Astoria. I am not getting married."
"I know you aren't. I was there."
"I did this for you."
"For me? You left your fiancé and it's my fault?"
"No that is not what I meant."
"I didn't ask you to. If you remember I told you to go for it."
"But I did this for you not because of you."
"Draco I do not know what you want. Do you want me to fall into your arms? Tell you that I love you and thank you for choosing me?"
"I-"
"Draco you should have broken up with Astoria because you didn't want to marry her. Not for me. It shouldn't have anything to do with me. You should do this for you. So you can have a chance at love."
"I want that."
"Well good go out and get it."
"I want that with you Evee."
"I thought I was a bitch?"
"I never meant to say that. I do not think you are a bitch. It was a slip of the tongue and-"
