"Tum aagayi." Savitri's excited voice brought a small smile to Naina's gloomy lips, and She quickly marched to hug the lady, they both embraced each other lovingly, and Naina asked her with a sweet smile - "Happy Birthday Kaku...kaisa laga aapko sab kuch?"
"Bahut bahut acha...mujhe toh yaad bhi nahi tha aaj mera birthday hai." Savitri said with an overwhelmed smile, and Naina remarked mirthfully - "Haha, I can understand...yeh probably last generation hai jiski mummy yo ko khud ka birthday yaad nahi rehta. Aanewali modern mom's toh apne bacho ko ek hafte pehle hi inform kar dengi ki unka birthday aanewala hai."
"Right," Shivangi said with agreement.
"Saree dekhi aapne?" Asked Naina enthusiastically.
"Oh haan, khup chaan aahes, mujhe bahut pasand aayi," Savitri uttered, with a wide smile, and all, while the females were chatting, Sameer was silent and standing in a corner.
"Aao baitho na beta...khadi kyu ho kab se." Insisted Savitri.
"No aunty, I need to go, ghar pe aai ne mera favorite khana banaya hai," Naina replied to the polite lady with a reluctant smile, and glanced at Sameer, who shrugged off his shoulder.
"Arey Kam se kam cake toh lekar jao." Suggested Shivangi.
"Aap yahi mujhe apne haathon se khila dijiye." Said Naina lovingly, and Savitri was emotional by the young girl's affectionate demeanor towards her. She lightly patted her head and fed her a piece of pineapple cake. Naina smiled, though it was disheartened.
"Thank you...hope aapko yeh sab decoration pasand aaya ho." She asked the old lady with a nervous smile.
"Mujhe sab kuch bahut pasand aaya beta...thank you mere bete ki help karne me yeh sab me. Tum bahut pyari ho...Bappa tumhe humesha khushiyan aur pyaar de yahi prathna hai bas." Savitri lovingly cupped her chin while saying with a jovial smile, and Naina blinked her innocent eyes in response.
"Pyari toh aap hai kaku...kitna khayal rakhti hai aap sabka, I can't even remember maine aapko kabhi shanti se ghar pe baithe hue dekha ho. Kuch na kuch karti hi rehti hai aap...and I must say. Aap unme se ek hai jo sweet, innocent, selfless, aur kind human ke list me aati hai." Naina expressed her feelings for this naive woman with a mushy smile, and Sameer lowered his head to conceal his grin.
"Ok bahut emotional baatein hogayi, I would need to leave now," Naina said in a soft voice.
"Yeh kya hua hai?" Inquired Savitri, while looking at the mark on Naina's neck.
"Kya?" Naina touched the portion where the lady was pointing, and suddenly her heartbeats doubled as she felt pain enveloping her. Damn! This is a love bite that Prithvi gave her some time ago, her eyes shot up in embarrassment and utter fear, and Sameer too looked puzzled when his mother and sister stared at Naina with suspicion.
"Actually mujhe allergy hogayi hai." Said Naina with an uneasy smile.
"Deva, kiski allergy hui hai?" Asked Savitri worriedly.
"Woh...woh maine body lotion laya tha discounted rate me, but it wasn't suitable for my skin...toh allergy hogayi hai," Naina spoke as confidently as she could, despite feeling thoroughly terrified.
"Kuch bhi utha kar mat laya karo, skin products toh carefully use karne chahiye hai." Suggested Shivangi, to which Naina agreed wholeheartedly.
"Haan, aap sahi keh rahi hai, next time I'll be careful," Naina uttered, in a meek tone, wondering how to hide this mark from her family? What would they think? She can't even lie to them saying she bought an allergic body lotion, they would certainly ask her the product name, and She would be caught.
