Naina came out of the college while thinking about the gifts Abhinav gave her, and she wanted to return all of them to him. That's why she brought them in the bag because she was planning to meet him in a cafe and confront everything.
"Hello!" Abhinav received a call on his Indian number.
"Hi, how are you?" Naina asked him softly.
"I am good, tum?" He replied to her.
"I am fine too, are you free?" She asked him hesitantly.
"Yeah of course, wanna meet?" Abhinav questioned her excitedly.
"Haa, half an hour ke baad can we meet at Blueberry Cafe?" Naina asked him with a hopeful expression.
"Sure honey!" Abhinav said with a wide smile, thoroughly unknown of the fact that the girl who fascinated him was going to break his heart.
"Ok cool, bye! Drive safe." Naina uttered, in a gentle voice, and ended the call, releasing a deep breath.
At Cafe - Both Naina and Abhinav were sitting with serene expressions, hesitating to initiate a conversation. Abhinav adjusted the expensive leather of his forest green jacket, and nervously licked his lips, wondering what important discussion Naina wanted to have with him. Perhaps about loving his gifts? Perhaps about feeling remorseful for not giving him enough time. There were so many possibilities swirling in his mind but only one of them was true.
"What would you like to drink?" He asked her gentlemanly.
"Kuch nahi, I am fine," Naina said with a small smile unzipping her college bag to take out the gifts. She weakly placed them on the round table, and Abhinav's expressions promptly marred rage.
"What is this?" He asked her calmly.
"Umm your gifts." She said in a meek tone.
"You want me to take back my gifts?" Abhinav asked her in a curt tone, and Naina slightly nodded her head.
"Maine tumse kaha tha na main nahi lunga apne gifts wapis." He spoke each word with immense infuriation.
"Abhinav please, don't be stubborn, main nahi rakh sakti yeh gifts...it's against my conscience, try to understand." Naina pleaded with him with furrowed eyebrows, and he looked away to tame his bubbling anger. He clenched the shiny paper of the gift in his colossal palm, and she felt mildly frightened by his lethal expression.
"Ok! I can't force you." Abhinav turned back to look at her with an artificial smile, and Naina was shocked.
"Thank you for understanding." She said with a grateful smile, still not sure how he got ready to accept the gifts back.
"But...I want to know the real reason. Kya tumhara boyfriend tumhe mana kar raha hai yeh sab lene se?" Abhinav asked her with a suspicious look, and Naina felt offended by his accusation on her boyfriend, but wasn't he right? Even if she accepted these gifts going against her conscience, Sameer would've created a big issue for letting an unknown pamper her with such costly products.
She was brought out of her deep thoughts when Abhinav snapped his fingers in front of her, and asked her gently - "Answer me, Naina."
"No, Sameer is a very broad-minded person, woh aisa kabhi kuch nahi kahega...it's just mujhe khud ko nahi pasand tumse gifts lena. Hum ek dusre ko jante hi kitna hai? Hardly 3/4 baar mile hoge hum." Naina replied to him with a placid countenance while keeping her eyes focused on his refulgent ones, and Abhinav was frantically bobbing his head, his warm fist tightening under the table.
