The clock brought a new day in everyone's lives, and Prashant, who had just entered the dark living room after a long and exhausting day, heard a bunch of voices hollering his name in enthusiasm. The lights went on and he saw the walls designed with his pictures and achievements, he simply put the bag on the sofa while gazing at the detailed decorations with an emotional smile, and Naina hugged her brother from behind, saying aloud - "Happy Birthday Dada."

"Thank you so much, yeh sab tune kiya?" Prashant asked her in a soft voice, as he knew how much his younger sister loved decorating.

"Yes." She said with a sheepish smile.

"Wow!" He exclaimed surprisingly, reflecting a broad smile while walking closer to the picture in which he was giving a piggyback ride to his cute sister. That toothy grin on her face while annoying her brother brought tears to his eyes, he lovingly caressed the photo, and Naina was delighted that the birthday boy liked her decoration.

"Yeh photo tujhe kaha se mili." Prashant's soft voice turned shocking when he found another picture in which he was bathed in mango pulp.

Gosh, this is so embarrassing.

"Mere phone me tha." She giggled, making others laugh too at Prashant's mortified expressions.

"Yaar, tujhe yeh picture lagana zaroori tha...kitna bura dikh raha hu main." He complained, wanting to remove this picture right away but he can't disrespect his sister's hard work.

"Acha ji, aur last year mere birthday ke time jab aapne meri woh bikhre hue baal wali photo lagayi thi with a caption Humari Apni Kaamwali Bai turned 18 today, uska kya? I don't forget anything." Naina replied to him with twisted lips, making him chuckle, and their parents shook their heads at their children's never-ending fights.

"Ok theek hai, i am still looking better than you." Prashant winked at him while wagging his tongue, and she gasped.

"Hawww, dekha aai baba yeh sila diya aapke suputra ne mere hard-work ka." Naina started her melodrama with a puppy face, and her brother came toward her, saying in a soft voice - "Awww meri rotlu baby...I am sorry." She didn't raise her head and innocently stared at her teeny-weeny feet. Prashant sighed while shaking his head, and bent down to look at her cute face - "Dekh kaan pakad ke sorry bol raha hu, ab toh maaf karde yaar."

"Fine fine, mera dil bada hai I Forgive You." Naina said with a playful smile, and added further in excitement - "But ek shart pe, you've to tell me kya surprise hai mere liye."

"Oh, no aai aapne isko kyu bata diya?" Prashant looked at his mother with annoyance marring his face.

"Hawww what do you mean? Main bhi is ghar ki member hun, I should know everything." Naina said with a miffed expression on her face.

"Yes, of course...but I can't reveal that surprise right now. Kal subah batauga." Prashant spoke casually.

"Yaar!" She whined, squinting her eyes in sheer rage, and said - "Ab aur intezaar karna padega...yeh 5 ghante kya kam the jo ab subah ka wait karu. This isn't fair, ha, I am telling you."

"Sabr Ka Phal Meetha Hota Hain." Her brother tried to coax her while she made cute expressions through her eyes and soft pink lips.

"Fine, kar lungi wait aur kya," Naina said reluctantly, grimacing at her brother for keeping so much suspense.

"Chalo ab cake cut karo. I can't wait to have my favorite chocolate truffle." She beamed, earning a scowling look from her elder brother.

"Birthday mera hai but favorite cake tune apna mangwaya, dusht insaan." Prashant playfully scolded his baby sister with pursed lips, and Naina chortled, trudging inside the kitchen to bring out the box of the chocolate cake.
