3 Months Later...

Everyone was gathered in the drawing room with ample cards scattered on the glassy blue table. Naina was picking each of them with such interest as if she found them beautiful and later was rejecting them for a foolish reason. Nishikant never knew his daughter was finicky about everything she does. He wondered how she easily and confidently stayed committed to one person for so many years?

"Naina, it's gonna be two hours now aur tumne ab tak ek bhi invitation card select nahi kiya hai." Sarita scolded her daughter with a displeased expression while looking down at the designs of the cards.

"Sirf two hours hi hue haina aai, if I won't like any of these. I can even take days or weeks to select, because it's my wedding...aur shadi zindagi me ache se sirf ek baar hoti hai." Naina replied to her mother with a gentle smile and lifted another piece of paper designed exquisitely with ink of blue.

"September is about to start in a few days, aur November me tumhari shadi hai...itni der lagaogi toh invitation cards dene sabke ghar jayege kaise?" Sarita said pensively, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Simple hai, Invite them via email or call," Naina spoke casually while keeping down the card she picked up.

"If we wanted to do that we wouldn't have asked you to select a good design for the invitation card," Sarita replied to her daughter with a sarcastic smile.

"Ugh, bas ab...let me concentrate on my work," Naina said irately, and ran her tiny hands through a bundle of invites, perusing their intricate details with keen interest.

"This one looks nice," Radhika commented.

"Nahi behen, iska color kitna weird hai...I don't like olive green." Naina rejected the piece of paper with a cute pout.

"We can ask them to change the color na," Radhika said normally.

"Haa but design bhi kuch special nahi hai." Naina gave another stupid reason to reject the card.

"Sidhe se bolna tujhe pasand nahi aaya." Sonali looked at her tersely.

"Sameer ne kaunsa select kiya hai?" Naina asked her confusingly.

"Mujhe kya pata ab, fiance tu hai uski main nahi," Radhika replied to her with a sarky smile on her face.

"Abey tere baaju me hi toh ghar hai uska, dekhna chahiye tha na tujhe," Naina spoke in a grumpy voice.

"Agar tu mujhe uske ghar me dekhti na...toh kehti ki tu mere Piya ke ghar kya kar rahi hai, jaa nikal aur jaa Adi ke ghar," Radhika said with a derisive expression while pursing her pink lips, and Naina didn't say anything as she knew her friend was right.

"Tumhe Sameer ne jo design select ki hai us se kya matlab hai? Tum apni karo na." Nishikant told his daughter with a disgruntled visage.

"Nahin, agar uski achi hoti toh main bhi wahi wala select kar deti," Naina said normally and caressed her thumb on the shiny paper.

Nishikant shook his head in disbelief and fished out his phone to call someone.

Naina took more than half an hour again, and finally found a beautiful design that caught her heart. It was a plain ivory white paper that had a combination of peach and baby pink floral designs on either side of the card with a thin golden border frame. It was simply elegant to beguile anyone.

"Yeh wala done," Naina announced and everyone quickly looked at her like Jaya Bachchan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam looked at her son.

"Pakka?" Sarita confirmed as she didn't want her daughter to taunt them later.
