Naina didn't wish to go to school after last night's incident, but she can't even skip the classes because of Atharva. She unwillingly got dressed up in a classy uniform, grabbed her bag, and left for the school without having breakfast. She reached the entrance with a dull face and saw Pratiksha waving her hand at her with a pretty smile. Naina sighed and walked to her heavily. They both embraced each other, and Pratiksha asked her enthusiastically - "How was your time with everyone yesterday? Had fun?"
The vivid images of Atharva sitting closer to her body, touching her hand, rubbing them, kissing her lips unexpectedly came running into her mind, making her squint her eyes in vexation. Pratiksha looked at Naina with a flummoxed expression, and questioned - "Kya hua? Tu itni ukhdi ukhdi si kyu lag rahi hai aaj?"
"Pooch mat," Naina said annoyingly and started to walk in the corridor.
"Bata toh sahi at least," Pratiksha asked her friend curiously while trying to match the pace Naina used to avoid her.
"Lunch time pe bataugi," Naina replied to her in a hurry and was about to enter the classroom when Atharva came and stood in front of her with a decent countenance.
Pratiksha joined the duo, and stared at them with confusion. Atharva looked at Naina remorsefully, and said - "I genuinely didn't mean to hurt you, please try to understand."
"Pratu, class ka time ho raha hai, chal jaldi," Naina ordered her best friend in a stern voice and glared at Atharva before storming inside the vacant classroom.
Pratiksha gave an awkward smile to Atharva, and was about to ask him why Naina was in a gloomy mood, but before she could do that. He left toward his classroom while shaking his head in annoyance, she kept looking at his retreating figure with innocence and thought - "Atharva jitni attention Naina ko deta hai, kaash uski aadhi mujhe bhi deta. Kitna acha hota."
She sighed in displeasure and went inside. Naina was absent-mindedly playing with the pen, swirling it around on the bench while having a strict visage. Pratiksha came and sat beside her, and soon a few of their classmates joined them. The cacophony of people started to annoy Naina as she wanted to feel peace, but they were chatting and laughing continuously over some things. She angrily shut off the notebook and impatiently waited for Miss.Berganza to come and commence teaching them the important physics lesson. Pratiksha was unable to figure out what was bothering her best friend, and just then Anjali entered the classroom, giving a robotic look to both Naina and Pratiksha. She sat on the third-row seat and yawned.
"Hua kya hai tum sabko?" Pratiksha couldn't resist asking her bestie to tell her the reason behind her silence.
"Atharva, he...he kissed me last night." Naina finally revealed the matter over which she was enraged at Atharva, and Pratiksha was in a daze after listening to her.
"What?" She asked in a barely audible voice.
"Yes! Kal raat jab hum sab movie dekh rahe the, he was sitting beside me and was doing some unusual things with my hands, but I thought as a friend it's his rights, I didn't know uske intentions kya the...He suddenly kissed my lips, and didn't even ask my permission for doing such a huge thing." Naina spoke with an infuriated face, and mercilessly twisted the cap of the ball pen. Pratiksha was deeply hurt and broken after knowing that Atharva kissed her best friend, and not her. She has been admiring him since the first time they met each other, but he never gave her attention as he gave to Naina.
"Aur uske guts toh dekh, after kissing me...he asked me what's wrong? What the hell." Naina uttered, in a disgusting tone, and furiously slammed her fist on the bench.
