"Bahar jo tum tamasha kar ke aayi ho Ankita ka...do you think it is right? Who the hell are you to humiliate her?" Sameer asked the timid girl in front of him with a raised eyebrow, and his loud voice shuddered her to the core.

Naina had no answer to his question as she too was feeling rueful for dragging Ankita in their personal matter.

"Tumhe kya lagta hai ek ladki ke liye uski reputation se badh kar aur kya hota hai? You didn't think about Ankita for once and insulted her in front of students. I can't believe it." Sameer said annoyingly, and his eyes flared up in disgust.

"I'll apologize to her," Naina replied to him in a low voice.

"Wow, Apologize...nice, actually you know what? People have started to use this word so frequently and easily. They don't understand the meaning of Apologize, they just say it to feel less guilty about their acts." Sameer taunted his girl in a sharp tone, and She was feeling enraged at herself.

"I'm genuinely feeling bad, but main kya karti I was so angry that time," Naina spoke in her defense.

"So? That doesn't give you any right to humiliate an innocent person. Gussa mujhe bhi aaya tha but I didn't insulted you, Ankita bhi bechari chup rahi...She didn't say a word to you, but tum, you were accusing her without thinking ki use kya feel ho raha hoga." He said exasperatedly, and slammed his palm against the wall to scare Naina.

"Of course, I know I'm at fault...par mujhe kuch samjh nahi aa raha tha us time pe. I felt so furious when I saw you laughing, here I was crying all the time for you, and you were laughing with Ankita. Won't it hurt me? Batao?" She asked him innocently while shedding tears out of her soft eyes, and Sameer watched her in sheer astonishment.

"So you were angry because I was laughing with Ankita?" Sameer questioned her in a flummoxed tone.

"Yes, and then later you hugged her too," Naina added.

"Toh?" He asked her in wonderment as he really couldn't understand the whole story.

"Toh kya? Mujhe acha nahi laga." She said vexedly.

"Kyun? Khul kar hasna, ladko ko gale lagana, unke saath dance karna, unke saath relationship me jane ka haq sirf tumhe hai? Main kuch nahi kar sakta? Don't you think you're being overly dramatic and emotional?" Sameer spoke with a derisive smile, and Naina looked at him in thorough surprise and fury.

"Maine aisa kab kaha ki tum Ankita ke saath has nahi sakte? All I meant to say is you shouldn't avoid me because of someone else. If you're dating her then at least let me know." Naina softened her tone, and looked at him with a frail face, though her heart refused to allow him to get into any relationship for some unknown reason.

"For god's sake stop tagging me with her. We're Not Dating." Sameer yelled at her in frustration.

"Toh fir tum kyu mujhse door rehne lage ho, pehle bhi tumne kitni baar aisa kaha hai ki I want to break the friendship, but tumne toda kabhi nahi." She asked him with a woeful expression, and tears swiftly dampened her mellow cheeks.

"I've no option, I can't be with you, samjhti kyu nahi ho tum?" He said in perturbation and wrinkled his eyes.

"Fine, if you don't wanna be with me. I won't force you." Naina announced in a dead tone, gulping down her unstoppable tears. She added further - "But now whatever I'll do, with whoever I'll talk to. You ain't gonna scold me for that, fir chahe woh Prithvi ho ya Atharva."

Sameer's head quickly swerved in her direction with a look of disdain cast on his face. His muscles tightened at the mention of Prithvi, and He asked her in a dangerous tone - "You won't do that...will you?"
