Everyone was having lunch at 5:30 Pm, and after finishing the food. Sameer looked at his wife, who was still in a dull mood.

He glanced at his wristwatch and reckoned that they still had three and a half hours for the reception.

Till then he will surely mend her mood and bring a smile to her face.

"Tune joote sahi se chupaye haina?" Pratiksha suspiciously asked the journalist girl who was in charge of stealing their Ji-Ja-Ji's shoes as a part of the ritual.

"Haa behen, ekdum safe jagah par hain," Anjali assured her confidently.

"Agar galti se bhi kisi ke haath lage na woh Joote toh usi jooton se tujhe marugi." Pratiksha threatened her schoolmate in a stern voice, and Anjali scathingly stared at her for trying to dwindle her confidence.

Should she go and check if the shoes were safe? Because after listening to Pratiksha's threat even she isn't sure whether the juttis were secured or stolen by the ladkewale.

"Bhai, joote le aaya na tu?" Satvik asked Anshuman in a low voice while chewing the slice of cabbage.

"Haanji haanji, tu janta nahi kya apne bhai ko," Anshuman said haughtily.

"Woh sab mujhe nahi pata, par agar woh joote ladkiya le gayi na phir tujhe yahi se jooton ka haar pehna kar pure bazaar me ghumauga," Satvik warned him in a strident voice and Anshuman fearfully looked at his college friend.

His heart was beating vigorously in fear because now he wasn't sure if the groom's shoes were safe or stolen by cunning ladkiwale.

"Main aati hoon do minute me." Anjali stood up from the chair, disappearing from everyone's sight.

"Main aata hoon do minute me, washroom jake." Anshuman gave a lame excuse to Satvik, going to the place where the Joote were hidden.

Anjali was searching for the shoes in the makeup room where she kept them during the jaimala ceremony, but she found the box empty.

Her eyes widened in sheer flabbergast, her hands shaking in eerie as she had no courage to tell Pratiksha that shoes are stolen now.

Anjali clamped her mouth in utter shock, wandering her enlarged eyes around the messed up room to locate the important shoes of the groom.

"Bhagwan please, meri laaj rakhna, mujhe joote se maar nahin khani." She thought frightfully while checking storage boxes and bags irrespective of knowing that she didn't keep the shoes there.

Anshuman opened his car's dickey with a confident smile but he didn't see shoes anywhere.

He picked up a pile of gifts with hope in his eyes but was disappointed when he didn't spot his friend's shoes.

Anshuman slapped his forehead in annoyance, exhaling a deep breath while furrowing his brows, musing about where the shoes went without his notice? As much as he remembers nobody saw him hiding shoes in the dickey because all were busy with the wedding.

The Punjabi guy saw Anjali strolling there with a tense look, and he furiously approached her, asking - "Tumne hi phirse joote churaye haina?"

Anjali stopped walking, looking at him with a wrathful expression for accusing her, and said sarkily - "Haa maine hi churaye hai, yeh dekho pehen ke bhi ghum rahi hoon."

Anshuman lowered his gaze to her feet to see her wearing red heels.

"Kaha gaye phir joote?" Anshuman asked her with a disgruntled tone.
