At Night, Naina's family was way too happy for the success of this little girl to be able to make a space for herself in the huge dance competition. They all had soft vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup to make it more delicious, and Naina was desperately waiting to meet Sameer. She has been looking up at the wall clock periodically, hoping that now her parents may go to sleep, and her brother would go to his friend's place for his studies. She was cracking jokes and showing enthusiasm just to not make her family doubtful, and Prashant was moderately relieved to know that his intuition didn't turn out to be true. They had a good time, and Sarita blessed her daughter for making them feel proud of her merits. Naina gave a sweet smile in response, and Prashant left for his studies after carrying a bag.
Nishikant and Sarita retired to their bedroom after ensuring that Naina fell asleep.
Naina woke up once she sensed the noise of her parents' footsteps not resonating anywhere in the bedroom. She quickly grabbed a banana clip and her phone from the vanity table and paced down her speed when she was making her way through the living room. She took baby steps to reach the door, and her eyes were flickering in anxiety. She soundlessly opened the door and went out of her house, closing it carefully to not make anyone feel suspicious.
Naina reached the terrace while hyperventilating, and saw an alluring silhouette of her man standing across the railings to stare at the shimmering collections of stars above the sky. She placed her palm over her mouth to not make a slight noise and approached his turned figure with an excited smile. She was about to scream in his ear to surprise him, when she saw the fatal smoke flowing carelessly out of his mouth, lingering in the night breeze. Her enthusiasm vanished in a fraction of a second, and She asked him annoyingly - "Tumne fir smoke karna shuru kar diya?"
Sameer twisted back to his girl showing disappointment, and He quickly threw away the used cigarette, giving her a scared smile.
"Sorry!" He apologized to her.
"Kya sorry? Thoda late kya aayi tumne toh smoke shuru kar diya." Naina scolded him with sheer frustration, and her brows stitched up for a scowl.
"Bahut dino se kiya nahi tha toh aaj talab lag gayi thi," Sameer said in a soft voice, and She looked away.
"I'm trying to quit smoking, please give me some time." He requested her meekly, and Naina was still not looking pacified by his words.
"Jaan!" Sameer uttered, in a husky voice, and here She melted like a wax candle.
Naina leisurely swerved her head to look at him disappointedly, and He said genuinely - "Maine tumse promise kiya haina...toh main zaroor chod dunga smoking. Trust Me!"
"Fine!" Naina agreed.
"Congratulations." Sameer settled his warm fingers on her balmy cheek.
"For?" She raised her eyebrows.
"For getting selected for the final round." He apprised her with a sweet smile.
"Oh, thank you." Naina acknowledged his happiness with a soft look.
"Am I allow to come and watch your performance live?" Sameer asked her in a hesitant tone, and She chuckled while caressing the tiny growth of his beard - "Tumhe kisi invitation ki zarurat nahi hai aane ki!"
"But waha toh tumhare aai baba bhi aayege na?" He looked anxious.
"Don't worry about them. I'll handle them." Naina assured him with a loving smile, and Sameer had trust in his girl. She would certainly manage to fool her family.
