Naina's parents were out to attend a wedding of Nishikant's colleague's son, and Prashant was at his friend's place for studies and upcoming tests. Naina was alone at home and hence she was invited by Aryan to have dinner at his home, at first she refused, but Aryan kept insisting on her hence she agreed, involuntarily.

She chose a typical Indian plain hot pink kurti and dark blue jeans as her outfit and brushed her velvety tresses from the gentle comb. She didn't apply any makeup, just a slight lip gloss, and kohl was enough for her decent appearance. Sighing slowly, she clasped a pristine gold designer chain around her slender neck while staring at her tilted head posture in the cleaned mirror, and then she pressed jewels galaxy western hoops on her soft ears.

Her love for kurtis and earrings is endless!

Naina slipped her feet into her daily wear sandals and walked out of the house. She carefully locked the door while keeping her purse on the wooden table, and kept the keys inside the pouch before leaving.

At Aryan's Home.

Shivangi opened the door as the chiming ringtone resonates around the house, and her jovial expressions turned blank when she saw Naina standing there, her eyeballs looking back at the locked flats. She sighed, and said lowly - "Aao."

Naina jerked her head towards her in an instant and tried to smile, but failed miserably, feeling awkward. Shivangi stepped aside to let the girl enter her home who broke his younger brother's heart.

Aryan quickly stood up when he saw his favorite cousin and pulled her into a brotherly hug while asking - "Tune mujhe aane kyu nahi diya? main aa jata na tujhe pickup karne."

"It's ok dada, main choti thodi hoon," Naina said softly, smiling a bit.

"Haan, now you're a grown-up grandma." He laughed, patted her back, and ushered her to sit on the sofa.

"What a pleasant surprise yaar, kab aayi tu?" Tripti, who was roaming around wearing a charcoal mask on her round face, greeted Naina with fake excitement in her sugary voice.

"Just abhi," Naina answered, lowering her eyes while clutching the purse.

A few minutes passed, and Aryan kept talking to Naina, keeping her engrossed in some or other conversations.

"Ab kaun aaya?" Shivangi mumbled when she heard the doorbell ringing once again, and she went to welcome the visitor, but much to her surprise she found her younger brother standing there, giving a soft smile.

"Sameer!" She took his name with immense terror in her voice as she knew the breaker of his heart was also here.

The moment Naina heard Shivangi taking Sameer's name, her heart stopped functioning, she blinked her eyes rapidly, hoping against hope that whatever she heard and assumed isn't correct and is just her illusion. She pressed her clammy knuckles on her thighs while wetting her pink lips, and her last hope crashed into the puddle of fright as she saw a lean and tall figure entering the living room, sharing greetings to everyone relaxing there on sofas. She shut squeezed her eyes, musing why fate wants to make them meet each other every other day.

Sameer momentarily glanced at her sitting posture, and his eyes filled with a sharp ray of darkness and disdain. He veered his head toward Aryan, who stood up to embrace his brother-in-law. Shivangi stood at the doorway, surprised, still not able to comprehend when his husband invited her brother and his cousin sister.

Bitterness could be seen on her face for Naina, and Tripti was keenly noticing every movement of these two women.

"How's my surprise?" Aryan asked his wife, who looked at him shockingly, more like grumpily for inviting Naina when he invited Sameer too.
