Short Leap...

Naina's college was hosting a Navratri event for all their students, and everyone was hell excited for the upcoming festival. This was going to be one of the best events their college organized for them.

Radhika has taken the responsibility to arrange the food and beverages for the humans who will get exhausted after playing nonstop garba, and Naina was handling the decoration work. She and other students were choosing the right theme for Navaratri Night, and also the color code everyone should wear to make the night look more charming.

Tomorrow night was going to be fun for sure.

Naina wasn't able to sleep properly for days because she was too indulged in making embellishments go perfectly. She didn't want to disappoint the teachers and all the elderly people who showed confidence in her caliber, she wanted to decorate every corner of the college campus with elegant lighting and traditional touches. The work was doubling minute by minute, and whenever she was planning to take a rest, some or other colleagues were coming to take her help. She was glad they trusted her with the decoration work but sometimes it becomes a headache and too complex to understand smooth things.

Naina was on a call with Sameer while placing the decorated basket on the grass.

"My God...tum toh itni busy hogayi ho abhi se. I wonder wedding planner banne ke baad toh tumhe mujhse baat karne ki fursat bhi nahi hogi." Sameer said with a surprised smile while leaning against the chair.

"Sach me yaar bahut kaam hai, jitna main try kar rahi hoon sab easy karne ki utna kuch na kuch badhta jaa raha hai," Naina spoke annoyingly while looking at one of the students hanging colorful lighting at the wrong place.

"Deepak yaar woh lights waha nahi is side lagani hai." She yelled at him in stress, and Sameer was pitying his delicate girlfriend's current state.

"Pallavi saamne ki taraf frame lagao...Haa yahi." Naina directed the other girl who was fixing the deity frame.

"I think I should hang up the call, busy lag rahi ho," Sameer said understandingly.

"No, say...lunch hua tumhara?" Naina asked him simply while walking toward the decorative stuff to check if something was missing.

"Haa...tumhara?" Sameer replied.

"Maine toh subah se breakfast bhi nahi kiya hai...juice peeya tha thodi der pehle," Naina spoke hurriedly while rummaging through the packets of traditional stuff.

"What? Yaar please kuch kha lo, is decoration ke chakkar me don't ignore your health." Sameer gently scolded his careless girlfriend who was busy with work, and as expected his words went unheard by her.

"Tumne suna maine kya kaha?" He asked her in a stern voice.

"Sorry, I will call you later...yahan choti si gadbad hogayi hai." Naina hung up the call and kneeled to check the quality of the dandiya sticks.

• Sameer had been noticing that Naina isn't giving him enough time for the last couple of days and whenever he tried to make a conversation she ended the call by saying She has got some work to do. It's not that he was complaining about it but talking to her every night has become an unsaid addiction for him, and he wasn't able to sleep without hearing her voice and cute questions. He took a deep sigh while trying to fix the bug, and Dheeraj observed his roommate's odd behavior.

"Kya hua? Any problem?" Dheeraj asked Sameer in a soft voice.

"Nothing," Sameer said normally, looking into the computer screen with keenness.
