Naina was sobbing quietly while driving the car, feeling woeful for being rude to her mother. She didn't want to yell at her and talk to her disrespectfully, but the circumstances caused her to lose control. She gently wiped the corner of her soggy eyes from the edge of the napkin and activated the incoming call from Sameer via Airpods.

"Hello Princess." He greeted her lovingly.

"Hi," Naina replied to him in a low voice, her eyes brimming with fresh tears.

"You're sounding so low, what happened?" Sameer recognized the pain in her usual gentle tone and asked her worriedly, and his concern made her weep even harder.

"I am fine, mujhe kya hoga." She lied while stiffening, and he knew something was surely not good with his woman.

"Tujhe meri kasam, bata kya hua hai?" He told her strictly, and Naina quickly put a break on the car, parking it under a safe site.

"Ghar pe aai ko pata chal gaya hai we're in a relationship," Naina replied to him in a disheartened tone, and silence from his end caused her to feel more anxious.

"Kaise?" Sameer asked her gently.

"Maine khud hi bata diya." She elucidated him in a meek tone while gripping the steering wheel.

"Oh! Suddenly? Mujhe bhi bula deti hum milke baat karte na yaar." He told her in disappointment as he wanted to be there with her when she was fighting for their love alone, and Naina spoke - "It happened spontaneously, plan nahi kiya hua tha."

"Acha, toh kya reaction tha unka? She must be very angry." Sameer guessed.

"Yes, she is...but I know she will be convinced, par baba aur dada pata nahi kya hungama karege ghar aake jab aai unhe sach batayegi." Naina replied to him with a frightened expression while placing her head against the headrest, her moist eyes closed, and lips sealed.

"Main aau raat ko ghar? Baat karne?" Sameer suggested, his voice lacking the courage to meet her family.

"No way, they'll get more aggressive." Naina quickly refused him.

"I don't care. I can't let you face all this alone...pyaar saath kiya haina toh ladege bhi saath mil kar. I will come tonight. I am sorry but agar aaj main nahi aaya tumhara saath dene toh main khud ko maaf nahi kar pauga." Sameer replied to her in a low voice, his breath heavier than usual due to the extreme fear of talking to her dominating and threatening family. If he wanted he could have easily convinced Naina to marry him in a court with legal formalities, but he wants her family to agree to their relationship and happily let them tie the knot.

"Sameer!" Naina whispered his name, helplessly, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Don't worry, aaj nahi toh kal woh sab maan jayege...Pyaar kabhi harta nahi, aur jo pyaar haar jata hai uske liye log sahi se ladhte nahi." Sameer encouraged his despondent woman with a bright smile, however, the smile contorted into grief when he understood the depth of this solemn matter. He wished he could make her family love him the way they loved their daughter.

"I believe in you and in our love," Naina said in a soft voice while trying to smile.

"You should, aur chalo ab rona band karo...you should stock your tears now warna vidaai ke time humein tumhari aankhon me glycerine daal na padega." Sameer teased his girl as he knew how arduously she would be trying to control her tears.

"Kuch Bhi." She chuckled gently.

He felt relaxed when Naina reacted to his silly joke, and he replied to her with a lopsided smile - "Sacchi, sirf ek wahi din hoga jab main tumhe thoda bahut rone dunga because obviously, it'll make you feel emotional for leaving your family. But haa, uske baad ek din tumhari aankho me tears ki rain nahi hogi, kyuki uske baad zindagi bhar tumhe khush hi rehna hai."
