"Acha chalo baith kar baatein karte hai." Sameer held her hand and gently made her sit against the wall, which she was admiring with a smile before his unexpected arrival.

"How was your day?" Naina asked him in a soft voice.

"It was good, exciting...tumse milni ki khushi." Sameer winked at her while lacing her fingers with his big ones, always loving how their hands looked pleasing to the eye.

"Main cheez hoon hi aisi," Naina said in a raspy voice, leaning her head on his shoulder.

"Haa haa, karlo tareef." He tittered.

"Acha ek baat kahu?" She looked at him somberly, raising her head.

"Haa bolo," Sameer said affirmatively.

"Tum Pune ki job chod kyu nahi dete?" Naina asked him hesitantly, and his gleeful eyes changed into confusion.

"Kya Hua?" Sameer questioned her in a gentle voice, cupping her smooth chin.

"Kuch Nahi." She refused to share her feelings and wrapped her fingers around his elbow, her head once again placed on his shoulder.

"Bolnaa." He urged her to speak and open up about her thoughts as he could feel her lightly shivering.

"Mujhe bahut akela feel hota hai aaj kal," Naina said in a low voice, her mind racing to the compliments she received so far from Abhinav. Her eyes fluttered in fear and she added - "I feel safe with you...tum yahan rehte ho toh mujhe sukoon lagta hai, darr nahi lagta."

"Kaun tumhe dara raha hai Naina?" Sameer asked his girl in a panicked tone, tilting his head to stare at her morose countenance.

"Koi nahi, mujhe bas aisa feel hota hai," Naina said in a gentle voice, her nose brushing against the cotton sleeve of his black t-shirt.

"Sach Bata." He looked down at her cuddled posture with a weary expression, and she clenched his arm tightly.

Naina solemnly looked at the brick wall in front of her meek eyes and told him - "Kabhi kabhi you know life me aisa koi moment aata hai when you feel scared of something, and you don't even know the reason for feeling scared. Yahi ho raha hai mere saath bhi, mujhe nahi pata why I am thinking ki kuch hoga...but yes." Swerving her head to look at his somber face. She said with a small smile - "I want you to be with me all the time these days. You are my strength...Sameer, tum hote ho toh lagta hai kuch galat nahi hoga mere saath. Tumhare hone ke ehsaas se hi mujhe safe aur comfortable feel hota hai."

Sameer was overwhelmed by winning her trust and faith in his character. He couldn't stop the smile dancing on his lips, but also his thoughts were entangled with many negative possibilities. He never saw Naina talking to him so feebly, without any confidence in her voice. He never felt her shivering unless the matter was related to her family and their relationship. He slightly tilted his head sideways to stare at her disoriented expression and wondered who could have possibly intimidated her or scared her.

"Jaan," Sameer said in a husky voice, and she hummed, concentrating on her lap.

"Kisi ne tumhe dhamki di hai kuch?" He asked her carefully, and Naina swiftly shook her head for a no.

"Kuch aisa hua College me ya kahi bhi jis se tum itna darr gayi ho? Something strange?" Sameer questioned her in a gentle voice, his fingers stroking the glossy tresses. Naina gasped, her face looking more ashen as she thought about Abhinav and his not-so-welcoming comments and stares.

"Abhinav." She whispered meekly, getting all his attention in a moment.

"Kya kiya usne?" Sameer asked her with urgency in his tone to find out what that unwanted guest did to his fragile girl.
