Sameer quickly regained his composure and stared at the lady who finally was going to be Mrs.Raut. Not today though, but definitely in a few months. He stared at her with devotion in his tender eyes, and there was no rush for anything in their calmness. It was as soothing as people sleeping on the terrace under the starry sky with just peace enveloped in the environment.
Naina rightfully held his giant hand, took a microphone from Aditya, and told the people standing there - "Aaj yahan jo koi aaya hai humare special day pe...unhe dil se thank you. Aaj aap sabko bata nahi sakti kitni khush hoon main, yeh din dekhne liye humne bahut saal wait kiya hain. But." She stopped and glanced at Sameer who blinked his eyes assuringly. Her voice turned softer for the audience to hear as she said happily - "But as said sabr ka phal meetha hota hai, yeh bilkul sahi hua. For this day I don't know how much we cried, par theek hai, zindagi bhar ki khushiyon ke liye thode aansu bahana zyada nahi lagta ab."
Naina turned herself completely in front of her mushy boyfriend and spoke with a loving smile - "Main khud ko lucky manti hu jo meri life me tum ho Sameer. Aaj kal ke zamane me itna loyal, caring, supportive, understanding, hard-working, encouraging, loving, and most importantly respectful partner milna is like the biggest blessing. I know you have anger issues, and no one would know this better than me, but still, you always keep calm aur humesha politely baat karte ho mujhse. Kabhi meri ya meri family ki disrespect nahi karte no matter how angry you are at me or them, and this is the best quality you have. Sameer." Her eyes filled with tears while expressing her feelings for this man, and Everyone was staring at Naina with utmost delight except her father, brother, and Tripti.
"You have no idea how much I love you. Tum meri jaan ho, aur aaj main is rishte ko officially ek naam dena chahti hoon." Gripping the microphone tightly in her sweaty palm. Naina said in a soft voice and expectantly looked at everyone.
Smiling. She announced in a sweet tone - "Samaina Ka Prem Vivah, aisa vivah jiske honi ki possibility bhi nahi thi shuruaat me...jiske bare me kabhi maine nahi socha tha lekin abhi mujhe khushi milti hai yeh kehte hue ki mera Prem Vivah us insaan se hoga ya hone jaa raha hai jise main dilon jaan se chahti hoon."
Naina could hear applause delivered by the crowd, and Sameer couldn't resist the urge of thanking his woman for fighting against everyone just for him and his love. He took the microphone from her hand, looked at everyone with a soft smile, and said - "Isne sab tareef ki hai meri, but let me tell you the reality. I might be a very loving and caring partner but I get angry at her choti choti baaton pe...humesha jhagda humare beech meri wajah se hi initiate hua hain because I misunderstand her most of the time, and I am really really really very sorry meri jaan." Sameer apologetically stared at his girlfriend for always making her cry over petty issues, and Naina lightly slapped his shoulder for talking about inconsequential things.
He looped his arm around her neck while turning to face the audience, and said zestfully with a smile - "Look at this girl. She fought with everyone just for me, now tell me, lucky yeh hai ya main? Because I didn't fight with anyone, my family was already happy with Naina, but Naina ke ghar me thoda sa issue tha unhe mujhse, and it is totally alright. I can understand...Well, coming to the point. Aaj agar humari engagement honewali hai toh uska pura pura credit sirf Naina ko jata hain, I don't know how she managed everything, but she did it yaar. She did it, and that's why she is a superwoman to me. My Woman, My Naina." Sameer pressed a soft kiss on her temple while beaming like a Diwali Light, and Naina quickly wiped the corner of her wet eye.
Everyone clapped for the couple who appreciated one another's good qualities in front of everyone without ego, and Nishikant calmly stared at his son-in-law-to-be. He didn't know why he felt a part of his heart contented with the speech containing nothing but just love and respect for his daughter. He retouched his spectacles while restricting a smile on his lips, and Pranali glanced at her husband who still looked unconvinced by Sameer's words. Nobody can change and understand this man.
