Finally, the exams were over and Naina felt like an Aazad Panchi who was caged around the stress of writing papers and revising the sums. She was squealing in joy while chatting with Radhika, and they walked out of their exam center with beaming expressions. There was no longer needed to stay awake till midnight to remember the answers, there was no longer needed to make a coffee at such an odd time so that they don't fall asleep. Naina was enthusiastic more than words and hence she wanted to shop for clothes for her birthday, but suddenly The girls stopped walking when they saw a boy proposing to a girl near in front of the public.
"I don't know if it's a correct way to propose to you or not, but Janvi, I really wanna marry you and spend the rest of my life with you." The boy in his mid-twenties with specs on said sincerely, while holding the ring in his hand, and The girl was having tears of joy in her eyes.
"I didn't know you'd propose to me so beautifully. Thank You Veer for fulfilling my wish." Janvi told her boyfriend with an emotional smile and accepted his ring by holding them gently between her thumb and forefinger.
"Anything for you darling!" Veer said happily, and stood up to embrace his lady who had been living in his heart since their school time.
The audience clapped for the wonderful couple who just decided to tie the knot and crazy each other their entire life, and Naina felt cathartic while watching the exquisite scene unfolding in front of her moist eyes. She took the handkerchief and wiped her flowing tears while gushing over the adorable pair who were posing for the pictures as the boy named Veer arranged everything to make their proposal look like Bollywood type.
"Yaar, yeh kitna pyara moment hai, so lovely!" Radhika said dreamily.
"True, I wish one day Sameer bhi mujhe aise hi propose kare sabke saamne shadi ke liye." Naina expressed her dream while staring at the couple, and Radhika crossed her fingers to pray for her best friend.
"Oh, you're willing to marry him?" She asked her amusingly.
"For now, yes...very much." Naina agreed.
"Acha baad me tera mann nahi hoga?" Radhika looked at her suspiciously.
Naina glanced at her bestie in disbelief, and calmly explained to her - "Aisa nahi hai, future ka main abhi se kaise kuch batau...agar aaj meri age shadi ki hoti toh main definitely Sameer se hi karti, bina kisi shaq aur second thought ke."
"Aur main yeh bhi janti hoon ki tu bhi Adi se hi shadi karegi!" She added while smirking, and now Radhika was having a hard time controlling her blush.
"Tu mere pe kyu aayi?" Radhika asked her in a stern voice.
"We're best friends, we should definitely discuss our love stories and future plans!" Naina said mischievously while walking ahead, and Radhika shook her head in utter annoyance. God knows when this stupid Aditya will propose to her.
"Tune kabhi real life me gadha dekha hai?" Radhika asked Naina with a scrunched-up nose.
"Gadhe ka toh pata nahi but Gadhi zaroor dekhi hai." Naina guffawed.
"Kaun?" Radhika questioned.
"Tu aur kaun bey," Naina said teasingly.
"Behen maine kya gadho wale jaisa kaam kiya hai?" Radhika asked her friend in deep vexation.
Naina twisted her brows at her imbecile pal, and told her infuriatingly - "Kyu? Adi ke I love you ke kehna ka intezaar kaun kar raha hai itne saalon se? Jaake sidha use bol kyu nahi deti ki you love him too."
