Sameer's words and threats broke every cell of her body and she found herself so feeble under his scrutinizing gaze. He stared at her with onyx orbs, and soon wrinkles appeared under his eyes as he cracked into a sinister smile, making her feel more terrible. He lovingly pecked her forehead and said - "I was joking."

"What?" Naina looked at him in shock.

"Yeah, I was kidding," Sameer said with a smile, although guessing by his facial expressions it felt like he was forced to say this just to not scare the fragile girl in front of him.

"Aisa mazak? Main kitna darr gayi thi." Naina yelled at him with faint tears bubbling in her sullen eyes.

"Toh baatein aisi karti hi kyu ho ki darna pade." He asked her with a calm smile, holding her soft hand.

"Maine toh bas ek sawal poocha tha tumse." She said annoyingly.

"Aur maine bhi bas jawab diya tumhe," Sameer replied to her in a husky voice, clearing her doubts that he wasn't kidding about ending his life if they wouldn't get married.

"Tumhari life me mujhse pehle tumhari aai aur tai bhi hai, and you can't punish them because of me." Naina scolded her boyfriend for thinking of such stupid ideas, and He felt rueful at himself for being selfish.

"I don't know but main tumhare bina nahi jee sakta." He urgently held her both hands, looking at her helplessly.

"Main bhi nahi jee sakti lekin jeena padega...life me sab kuch humare hisab se nahi ho sakta." She said in a weak tone and tried to make him understand that he was wasting his time convincing her.

"Tum mere gusse ki limit ko tod rahi ho ab, Naina...I am tired of explaining to you, karo jo karna hai tumhe, i just don't care kyuki ab main bhi wahi karuga jo mujhe sahi lagega." Sameer bellowed at her for not thinking about their love story, and gently pushed back her hands.

"Haan, yahi sahi rahega, do whatever you want." Naina challenged him in a stern voice and walked away.

"She doesn't know yeh keh kar usne kitni badi problem ko invite kiya hai." Sameer rubbed his beard while staring back at her figure, smiling at her attitude to deal with his insanity.

The sky was covered with bright colors of firecrackers as it was the festival of lights and sweets. The most celebrated occasion for all Indians --> Diwali. The houses were occupied with piles of boxes, air bombs, lehengas, and blouses, the aroma of Ghee Ki Mithaiyan blessing the nostrils of passing-by people, noises of kids playing, diyas lighting up every corner of the home, many-hued rangoli designed on the floor or marble slab with enthusiasm, girls applying a face mask to glow like a moon, boys making trips to the local barber shop to chop off their hair and beard to look handsome on the night of enjoyment, and the elders were busy with making the list of essential ingredients they would be needing to make dry nashta to serve it to their guests or neighbors, and also for the Laxmi Poojan.

Naina was embellished in a glittering golden blouse and lehenga with skin pink shade dupatta tucked on her shoulder. She looked nothing less than a perfect model ready for the sensational ramp walk with hair strands meticulously curled up, resting on either side of her glowing cheeks. She clasped the hooks of the chain that settled on her chest, enhancing her exquisite form, then she wore heavy pearl white jhumkas, one mabel raw crystal bracelet on her dainty wrist, new pairs of anklets, delicate pink glass bangles, thin gold waist chain, and last but not least a decent makeup on her face with hot tempting red lipstick enticing her beauty. She ran the black pencil on her eyebrows to make them look pointed, and then blinked her long thick lashes while applying mascara.
