Naina was pouting, knitting her eyebrows while watching her man cooking something alien with an enthusiastic smile.
"Kya bigad rahe ho tum?" She asked him with a perplexed face.
"Tumse toh acha hi banauga main." He jeered at her lack of cooking delicious eateries, and Naina gaped at him, her eyes fuming with exceeding resentment.
"Shut up!" She looked at him, offended by his honest comment.
"Awww, someone felt bad." Sameer laughed while chopping off capsicums, and before she could give him an earful. She saw Shubham entering the kitchen, peeping inside the boiling water kept on the stove.
"Yaar, do you know kya bana raha hai tumhara yeh chef dost?" Naina asked him with a curious expression, and Shubham shook his head for a no, saying - "Main toh just abhi bahar se aaya hoon dear sister-in-law."
Naina rolled her eyes at his endearment word, and Sameer skilfully sliced onions while wearing his thin gray spectacles, his head crouched down. She could feel her eyes burning as she watched him putting the chopped onions inside the round blue bowl, his face gleaming unstoppably.
"Sister-in-law," Shubham called her aloud.
"Kya?" Naina looked at him in confusion while squinting at him.
"I think he's making pizza." He guessed.
"No!" Sameer cleared his doubt.
"Pav Bhaji?" Naina tried to guess correctly as he used all the ingredients of the food she mentioned.
"Nahi." He said with a wacky smile.
"Pasta?" Shubham tapped his index finger on his shaved chin.
Sameer negatively shook his head and put vegetables inside the mixer to grind them and make a thick pury out of them. Naina and Shubham shut their ears as the thunderous noise of the electronic machine resonated in the vicinity, causing them irritation, and Sameer turned off the mixer, pouring the gravy into a clean pot while licking his lips.
"Yaar batao na kya bana rahe ho tum, tumhari wajah se mera headache bhi badh gaya hai." His girlfriend hissed in fury on the video call while frowning at him, and he giggled, diligently peeling off the skin of freshly boiled potatoes.
"Ok, ek hint deta hoon...it's your favorite, but yes mera banane ka style thoda alag hai." Sameer looked at her with a lopsided smile, his fingers busy undressing the delicate potato.
"Mera favorite? Aloo Ki Sabzi?" Naina asked him with a ray of hope coruscating in her tiny orbs.
"Similar hai." Sameer winked at her while sprinkling oil on the pan.
"Dum Aloo?" Shubham excitedly looked at his roommate, and Sameer affirmatively nodded his head.
"Yeh kaha mera favorite hai." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Le, us din toh bada maang maang ke kha rahi thi dhaabe pe jab hum sab milkar khana khane gaye the toh." Sameer gave an accusing look to his girlfriend for having such a weak memory, and Naina slapped her forehead while guffawing.
"Haa toh woh isiliye because tum bhi the na saath me," Naina said in a husky voice, and Shubham escaped from the kitchen, giving private time to the adorable couple.
"Toh?" He looked at her questioningly.
"Toh kya? I love eating with you." She blushed, moistening her lips.
